Hi-
Kind of new here, but wanted to let you know about my DVD that is out now.

I am the creator of Flash Animated Serials at http://www.DrShroud.com and have just had a DVD released of the chapters so far. It is available at these stores:

I also just signed a licensing deal in China for mobile and broadband access and will be in Rue Morgue magazine in August.

Well - and I've said this before - I dont' see why there can't be a Spam thread. I went to this guy's website and watched one of his shorts - and it was quite good. (the music was a bit obnoxious to be honest) but the animation was really cool. If people have talent - why not spread it here.

I know the whole "selling their shit here" is annoying, but the big corporate media dominate most of the publicity venues (I mean, let's face it, this Dr. Shroud guy will NEVER get publicity in the mainstream press) and alternative media has to find an audience.

Just my 2 cents.

Spam meat is best eaten fried with chips. Spam info is best nuked in my Outlook delete folder....just like this shit here.

My 2 cents:

If we made a "Spam Thread", no one who had any pride whatsoever would post there. I mean, who wants their new movie they worked hard on in a "Spam Thread"?! It won't work at all, the spamming will continue.

Not to mention all of the spammers tend to be newbs who don't even bother to look to see if there is an appropriate thread for them to be posting whatever they are posting.

Hilarious - ok, agreed. I think people shouldn't post their "work" until they've hung out for a bit and gotten the vibe. But I still think its not a bad idea to let people promote what they are doing (perhaps "Spam Thread" is hte wrong name - call it "Self-Promotion" - or, a la MisterS - "Narcissism 101").
