I was surprised to see there hasn't been a thread made for this film yet...well...at least not in the right place ;)

Anyway, I plan on seeing it...the trailer looks pretty decent...I like how it seems to have a "throwback" feel to it...kind of like "House of 1000 Corpses"...I really enjoyed that movie if only for the fact that you can tell Rob Zombie is a true horror fan...not just some jackass like the guy who did "House of the Dead".

I know alot of people didn't really care for his last film, but is anyone giving this one a chance?

there's been quite a few threads on it, over the months ;) I've seen the trailers, think there's 4 of them on the Rejects site.

I enjoyed 1000corpses and I know I'll enjoy Devils Rejects, based on a good synopsis, which sounds as if it will contain less humor and more hardcore action.

LMAO. Yeah, I figured I must've just missed them...how could there NOT be a thread about this one yet? ;) I did a board search, but nothing looked that substantial...so I figured I'd just make one for the hell of it.

I'm gonna check the other trailers out...and yeah, it looks alot more violent judging from the T.V spots...I'm pretty sure I still have free movie passes left-over, so I'll take a chance on it ;)

Corpses sucked, it was mindless and flashy with nothing to really say to the audience.

But this looks better, its a definite step up... at least visually.

I agree it didn't really have anything to say, but I liked the fact that you could at least tell he was a horror fan...you could see what influenced him, etc.

Seeing that Corpses was Zombies first film, I think it was pretty damn good.

What were we expecting a Kubrick film?? GIve the guy a break. There are those that have been in the industry for years with a helluva lot more expirience and they put out cinematic garbage.

Rejects is going to be more violent and gritty, and hopefully no constraints put on the directors vision.

Oh you know, just looking for the Holy Grail.

I talked to him a couple of times on the phone, and he just seemed like a miserable bastard...and I was like....if this guy is miserable, maybe he hates his job...in which case....I don't really wanna work there ;)

As for this movie, I am definetly going to check it out as soon as it opens. hopefully, they wont have as many characters as HOKC and fix some of the mistakes of the first one.... But i still enjoyed the HOKC.

Well I did not like Corpses, well kinda but it wasn't that good. I know Zombie is a huge fan of horror and it is admirable that he made a movie that wasn't THAT bad compared to the people that make new age horror movies and they suck major ass.

Devil's Rejects looks alot better and I actually can't wait to see it. We'll see how it turns out.

Im looking forward to seeing this too, I read a review about it on Horrorview.com, i guess the guy saw an advanced screening of the film, unfortunantly he didnt have alot of great things to say about it. He said it shouldnt even be labled a horror, but im going friday and ill determine this all for myself.

That guy's a fucking blow job.......This movie was SO awesome.

I am also looking forward to seeing this one, though I wasn't a fan of House of 1000 Corpses. I think this one looks far better. I will wait for DVD though.

This movie rocks... Much better than the first... And i give it an 8.5/10. I love that one scene when.......... (if you seen it, then you know what i mean).... That could be a classic movie moment.

It just got a horrible review in my local paper; it says and I quote...." "Rejects" isn't clever. It isn't scary. But it could be a real giggle for folks who enjoy a good torture, rape, mutilation or stabbing."

Fuck reviews. If I wasted time reading reviews I wouldn't see more than half the movies I do, and I'd miss out on a lot of great things.
I think most people put their expectations way to high for movies lately, and these are the people that wanna bitch about EVERY little thing. Just go into this movie not knowing what to expect, and have fun:)

I like too much crap to put too much stock in what critics say.....:p
I do admit to reading the horror reviews around here, because they are usually just so funny (though occasionally kind of insulting to the horror fan...lol).:D But I never base my own opinion on what they have to say, I watch them all and then make up my own mind.
