Amen to that.

Preacher 07-07-2005 05:09 AM

Cheers for that. Had a very shit mornin.

Been tryin to phone everyone I know in London. My sister lives down there and actually works near where one of the bombs went off.

But i phoned her and luckily she was working in another part of london this mornin.

Gotta go try and sort some more stuff out. Its hard to do any work at a time like this.

Latas

Kemal 07-07-2005 05:12 AM

Yeah, hope you guys are all okay. I lived in the UK briefly and I took the Underground all the time. It's a real sick fuck that attacks civilians randomly like that.

I'm sure Scotland Yard will be able to hunt down those responsible, then the guys in black jumpsuits can come rappelling through the window and blast their asses to hell.

The Nazis bombed London flat and the Brits never gave up then. Terrorists think a couple bombs on the bus are going to scare them? Hell no.

bwind22 07-07-2005 05:18 AM

Fucking terrorists.

I wonder which group of dickless fucks was responsible for this one...

Preacher 07-07-2005 05:22 AM

al-Qaeda again. Fuckin spineless bastards.

Preacher 07-07-2005 05:24 AM

Anyone on here from London??

I know Shanks is. Hope your ok mate. Put a post on here when ya can to let us know.

urgeok 07-07-2005 05:40 AM

i wonder if this had anything to do with the olympics bid - cashing in on the media coverage ?

I think it has more to do with the G8 summit. Islamic terrorists are anti-globalization.

I could be wrong, but isn't Zwoti from across the Pond too?

he is but i dont think he lives in london

bwind22 07-07-2005 06:25 AM

Oh, geez... I didn't realize we were getting so specific. I have no idea then. (Makes me feel considerably more nervous for ol' Shanks then. I saw Preacher say it, but it didn't register that this is Shanks city that got bombed.)

Right now they are saying 1000 injured. I certainly hope he's alright!

Haunted 07-07-2005 06:55 AM

Zwoti lives near the middle of England. London is in the south of England.

This attack makes me so sad and so mad at the same time. England is a great place for the stout of mind and sturdy of humor. I could very easily adapt to life in England. I love the people, the food, the comraderie. When I was there, I tried not to fit into the goofy American mold. I attempted to be friendly, curteous, gracious, and respectful.

I have a few friends and one ex boyfriend living in England. Now I'm worried, even about my ex.

I've got some grave yard dirt and some grave yard mold. Mayhaps I should erect a large curse upon their heads...(don't know why the magical community hadn't thought of that one. fuckin' goody-goodies). What say you, Creeper, my lad?

Goddess bless all of our friends in England.

Oh yeah... Kemal! You are one of those folks that I don't think post enough. When you've got something to say, it's articulate, intelligent, and just a joy to read.

Man!! Did I fuck this post up!?

HappyCamper 07-07-2005 08:23 AM

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you all know that my parents are living in London right now, and that they are both ok. They're living only a short walk from where one of the blast went off in the Underground. As soon as I heard about this, I was franticly on the phone trying to get a hold of them. What a scaring thing to wake up too.

No kidding! You guys were probably all sleeping off your 'Yay! We got the Olympics in 2012' Hangover and then some assholes blow up your transit systems!

HappyCamper 07-07-2005 09:00 AM

Al-Qaeda is already claiming they are responble for this most recent terrorist attack. I too thought that it might be related with London hosting the 2012 Summer Olympics at first, but then thought of Al-Qaeda.

bwind22 07-07-2005 09:06 AM

I'm not saying that's the reason for this. I'm just saying it must really suck to go from such an extreme high to an extreme low overnight. :(

AUSTIN316426808 07-07-2005 09:25 AM

Sorry to all you guys in the UK

Yellow Jacket 07-07-2005 09:31 AM

Man, I know some people done in London. I'm getting afraid for them! I need to check up on them soon. Good luck to all in London and for those hurt, a healthy recovery.

Oh I know that. I agree with you, that does suck.

MoonLit Meadow 07-07-2005 10:21 AM

This news makes me so sad...there are no words to express it. My thoughts are with those in London, and everyone who may be affected b/c of these senseless acts.

ShankS....post when you have a minute and let us know that you're well.

barbra 07-07-2005 10:45 AM

whoa, you know I had no idea until now. I don't usually listen to the new til I get in my car. I really hope that everyone's friends and family are well. Its a small world and easy to lose some one.

ShankS 07-07-2005 10:46 AM

Really appreciate the concern guys... I'm ok. I don't work in the center of London, and live to the north.

Had a call from one of my bros, to say he was ok. He was driving through London at the time on business, and heard one of the explosions go off.

My thoughts go out to all the peoples lives affected by this, through injuries and loss of life. This tragedy will have big repercussions against al-Qaeda for their barbaric actions.

I'm relieved to know you're OK Shanks! And your brother!

How scary for your brother to have heard that...I can't even imagine...I'm just glad that you're both okay. We'll all be thinking of you and everyone else affected.

barbra 07-07-2005 10:56 AM

I suppose it's time for another 'war' bush is on the phone with blair now, plotting the destruction of the middle east...

Glad to hear that you and your bro is OK. Was thinking about you after this happened.

Been frantically trying to get online to talk to folks I know over there and our computers have been down.

I agree with Haunted, this makes me very sad and very very angry. I believe its time to launch a premptive curse on these dirtbags that would do such a thing.

Soldiers on the battlefield is one thing, but when you attack and kill innocents for no good reason...

Blessings onto the dead and prayers to those injured.

Its time for another boot in someones ass.

At times like this, and on the spur of the moment, you think to yourself...why the hell don't they just annihilate the entire Middle East off the face of the planet....

...but then this isn't the way forward, I don't know what is, I'm not in a position to know... but as I said in my previous post, al-Qaeda will see their numbers diminishing

honestly I was thinking about a self destruct.. you know for the WHOLE world. Global unification would be really neat but we are not ready for it. when ignorant people have strong leaders this is what happens. It happend to Jesus, the Jews, Blacks in the south all across the globe, through out known history, always and forever, people will be persicuted for what they beleive and hopefully we'll kill each other off until only the best survive evolving our race finally.

i am sure thats what will happen - it'll be like in the USA where every thing was quiet for a bit - then all of a sudden people started to 'vanish'

the authorities always know who these guys are ...

If this is true...and i have no doubt that it is,then why the hell don't they "vanish" these pricks before innocent people get blown up on their way to work.

Maybe humanity's time to self-destructed. Hear me out. What works in nature will remain in nature- my old High Priestess told me that. We clearly aren't working in nature.

We throw trash on the streets, we massacre wildlife into extinction, we clear out tons of forests for the building of mini malls, we destroy lush rainforests for huge corporate juggernauts, and furthermore we even treat each other like shit.

"Burning witches, burning books, burning babies and their looks, yes indeed. Burning everything that's sacred in my jeans," Tori Amos.

Nature has Her cycles, and eventually our time WILL run out, just like the dinosaurs and just like the great mammals that ran amuck before the advent of humanity.

Maybe I'm being to depressing. I feel pretty depressed.

Until the time that nature calls us inside...in the words of Nanny Ogg, "Bugger all that! Let's curse somebody!"
