Remake of "The Blob"

Has anyone heard about the remake? I read it somewhere but cannot remember where. I saw The Blob as a kid and it scared me a little (I believe it was one of my first horror movies). I cannot imagine a remake of this movie. It seems like it would be quiet boring.

well it's been remade once.......

I never saw the original but i saw the re-make and i kinda liked it. pretty good special effects for that time. I like the concept of the Blob and would probably see it if they remade it for the 2nd time.

Ive only seen the original, but it was a great, campy, classic 50's b-movie. I love it, and think it could be remade well. Id like to see the 80's version, and am now looking forward to this one:)

the80's version is pretty good..

I had a blast with the 80's version and now can't wait to see the re-remake of The Blob.

I still say I'd rather see a sequel to the 80's version where they bring back Shawnee Smith. As a kid I thought her character in that was just perfect. I'd like to see her face off against the blob as an adult, maybe working for the CDC now.

A follow-up to the last remake would have been nicer, i think. The ending had sequel written all over it.

But it never happened.... :(

lol...remaking remakes. I liked the first remake, sooooo whatever. You can't stop it, the remakes are taking over.

agree.....

A new remake has been "announced", but that doesn't really mean shit as far as it actually happening. It's also supposedly being produced by the producer of the original Jack H. Harris. It would be pretty hard to beat the 80's remake though. That one was excellent!

comeon

ok yes it was a good movie at the time it was made. but a remake. i dont think so. i mean comeon some of these movies u can make a remake yes i agree with that i know they made a remake already to it but lets leave it at that and just call it quites with the blob. if someone make a remake to the blob it wont make any money what so ever. i know i would not go see. but i do believe in givein every movie a chance. i i might rent it when it cost like a $2 i will see it but untill then and if it happens whitch i hope it doesnt i will not see and will not find out anything about it.
