Living Situations

This is totally random...but I was just thinking that I'm not sure if I'll ever be satisfied living in one place. I feel like it'll be hard for me to "settle down" somewhere and not wonder if there's somewhere better out there. I *want* to settle down...just not sure if my curiosity will cease. I'm sure travelling more would help...anyway..

Just curious...do you like where you live? Why/Why Not? If not, where do you think you'd like to move to? :)

"Where you come from is gone. Where you thought you were going to were never there. And where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it" ~ Ministry's 'Jesus Built My Hotrod (Redline/ Whiteline mix)'.

Wow. Thanks for posting those lyrics. Makes so much sense to me that it's scary ;) I needed that :)

I'm going to give you some insight into this, straight from the stars (whether you want it or not...lol)...

You are a Libra on the cusp of Virgo...Both of these signs will influence your need to 'move around'...This is why:

Libra is a CARDINAL sign...

The cardinal signs are associated with starting things, initiating things or being "enterprising". They are forceful and aggressive and have the will to accomplish something, often something new. They project into the world. They are creative in the sense that they cause things and start things.

Virgo is a MUTABLE sign...

Mutable signs are concerned with changing things into something else. This is not transforming as much as it moving on to something else. The emphasis is on adaptability in the sense that while the fixed signs resist change, the mutable signs accept it.

These together will give you a feeling of wanderlust, that causes you to constantly feel 'pushed', wanting to see what's out there, never really being satisfied until you're sure that you've checked out everything, and chosen what's best (and even when you THINK you've found that one place to settle down, you'll STILL wonder if there isn't something better)...

As a Libra, you feel that you need something constant and stationary in your life, to help you acheive the balance that Libra's NEED...But, the cardinal aspect to that same sign, will not allow you to just rest and enjoy what you have...

Don't feel bad...Sagittarius has the need to constantly be on the move, even more than you do...

Sooo...Whether you believe in it or not...That's what the stars say;)

I live in Sydney, Australia...
I haven't travelled much, I've also lived in Melbourne victoria, and Cairns, which is far north Queensland.

I'm pretty settled in Sydney...I live in the outer suburbs, not so much the city itself. Rather scenic little town, very close to bushland...we have a lot of wildlife around...possums, rainbow lorikeets, owls and the like.
The air is clean here, there's not too much bullshit on the streets, low crime rates...and here in my town, there's like EVERYTHING I need...and just about every kinda cuisine from all the corners of the world.
It's pretty cool and chilled out here...Sydney city is great, 'cept for the crowds, but hey...we got th most beautiful beaches here, and like the cultural diversity goin' on is great.
I'm pretty happy here...don't think there's another place I'd ever feel at home.

Wow BR, thanks for that. That's VERY cool. That totally describes alot of my personality, and makes a great deal of sense. I find all of that astrology stuff very fascinating and alot of fun :)

Sounds like a great place. I've always wanted to visit Australia...although I'm not sure I'd be able to take the plane ride. ;) Not sure I'd be able to sit in one place for so long! haha. I'm sure I'll get there one day though. From what I've seen/heard of it, it's just plain gorgeous :)

That's okay...I do that with 'lol'...A LOT!...

Oh...And to your original question....I love where I'm at, I HATE moving, and will never do it again in my lifetime...I'm a FIXED sign...Fixed signs don't care for change, have no desire to move around, and tend to stay in one place...Pretty cool, huh?

That's very cool. It's so interesting how that stuff plays out...who knows if it's just coincidence or not...but it's really neat nonetheless:)

That's exactly how I feel about Astrology...I've never really been able to say that I actually 'believe' in it...But, I am completely fascinated by how accurate it is most of the time...

This is the way I see it......Tides are affected by celestial activity, predominately the moon...So, if humans are more than 90% water, why wouldn't WE be affected by what goes on with the moon, stars, and planets?....It's been proven that people's energies are higher during the full moon, emergency rooms are always more active during the full moon, more crimes are commited, people in mental institutions are more aggressive and 'aggitated', and more births occur...

The whole 'werewolf' thing is based on people's personality changes during a full moon

The word 'lunatic' is derived from the word 'luna', which means 'moon'...

Makes sense to me! :) Seems like we SHOULD be affected if we're made up of 90% water. In fact, it'd make a lot less sense if we WEREN'T. If you keep telling me all of this stuff, I'm going to have to go to the bookstore tomorrow and pick up some fun books to read on all of this ;)

Well...If you are TRULY interested...Look for something by Linda Goodman...She has maintained a consistant accuracy rate of over 99% for many years...You can also find a LOT of information online...Some information may be conflicting...It's best to study quite a few different sources to achieve a more accurate representation...OR just stick with Linda Goodman...She's the best 'one source' that I have EVER come across...

I live in the mother fucking ghetto!

You gotta lock your door, your window, your car, my girlfriends car got keyed for no fucking reason. My neighbors are as young as me and smoke weed right outside.

I don't even have too walk a block too get all the drugs I would ever need or want.

One day, I was outside waiting for a ride. and down the street someone threw a fucking BRICK through a car window and started beating the shit out of some guy. it was great.

I love my apartment, its very comfortable and it represents me in every way I can think of. I was thinking about moving too portland, they have a cool indie music scene up there.

Wow...That's just about the complete opposite of where we live...We don't lock our doors because it's a hassle digging for a key when we get home (of course there's usually ALWAYS at least one person here), and we don't sleep at night...We leave the key that belongs to the car, IN the car, so that if anyone wants to use the car, they don't have to figure out who had the key last, or which key goes to which vehicle, also my mother drives a Toyota but she's always buying antiques and furniture that don't fit in her car, so sometimes she'll just stop by here, jump in the truck, go haul whatever she's gotta haul, then bring back the truck...She usually does this in the daytime while we're sleeping, and she would have to wake us up if the key wasn't in it...Of course that leads to incidents like the other night, where the truck was pulled in, instead of backed in (Dustin and I both back in, but Shane and Seri pull in), and I had to ask 'Who had the truck last?"...It was Seri, she had only been gone for 15 minutes...It only bothered me because I didn't know she had left, and I kinda gotta know where my kids are at ALL times...I'm funny (Seri says, "crazy"...lol) that way....She said that she didn't tell me she was leaving because Dustin and I were upstairs in our room watching a movie, and she didn't wanna bother us...So, I told her, "Next time...Bother me...Okay?"...

Oops...Sorry...Tangent...lol
