Does anyone remember an 80's horror movie that was set in an octagon shaped house?
I'm trying to find a movie that I watched as a child about a women who moves into an Octagon shaped house that was haunted.
|
"The Octagon" with Chuck Norris.
Great movie, and really scary. http://www.jiggscasey.com/images/movies/octagon.jpg |
Thank you but I don't think that's it. The women inherits a house from her mother or aunt and it turned out it used to be a bordello and is haunted by the former residents.
|
yep, i do know that movie .. i'll have the name shortly ..
hmmm it's killing me ... i have the movie at home .. i'll have to find it and post the name later. |
Thank you. It's driving me nuts too. I tired searching for it and came up with nothing. I can't even recall the female leads name.
|
its a simple title ..
like The Haunting Or The Craving Or The Nest something like that i remember it being as boring as hell |
You'll have to forgive newb for his stupidity. He tries to be clever some times and comes off looking more like an ass.
The movie of which you speak wouldn't be "The Haunting of Julia" aka "Full Circle" by any chance. Starring Mia Farrow. |
No, it's none of those. I even tried searching in Brimstone.org and came up with nothing.
Yes, I remember it being a very short title. |

Yeah yeah yeah!!!! I remember seeing this on cable a loooooong time ago. Writer chick. Creepy old house. Nice location. Boring as hell. I was trying to remember the name, and it's "The Nesting." There is a video store down the street that has a beat up old VHS copy of this! I can get popcorn and relive old times!
|
I remember it as being really scary but I was 12 when it came out so who knows. I can't seem to find a copy on DVD. I may order the VHS version just to see if I still find it as scary.
|
Generally speaking, I find that anything you liked when you were a kid ends up being fun when you revisit it later as an adult. Sometimes you enjoy it more, sometimes you're shocked you enjoyed it then in the first place, but the re-experiencing of it is never empty.
|
I know exactly what you mean. I recently came across a copy of the old TV movie "Don't be Afraid of the Dark". As a child I was terrified of the little creatures in the movie. I just rewatched it and laughed through most of it.
|
"The Shuttered Room" [1967]did it for me when I was kid. I even had a nightmare about it.
When I visited it as an adult I found it pretty tame and actually not a good movie at all.Although Carol Lynley was in it....I had a crush on her when I was but a boy. |
Trilogy of Terror still gives me the creeps. LOL.

Does anyone remember a movie that was set in a house... and it had a guy doing a lot of stuff.. And than after that, there was this other guy that was doing other things , while that another guy was doing all that stuff. and than this crazy lady started yelling. Everyone freaked out and it was crazy. Than at the end of the movie.. everyone ate cake. does anyone remember that?
|
Did any of you see that kids/teen flic called "Witch's Sister?" I would like to see that again, actually, since we're talking about childhood movies.
