oh wow, this is spangly!
Just opened a package from cdwow, Highlander: Immortal Edition R1
It's the coolest looking boxset I've received in a while. The outer silver case is embossed aluminum ...you can feel the sword on the front, I'm gona rub it all day :p I must admit I'm a suckor for nice looking boxsets. It's not just the films I'm interested in. I'll even admit to buying one version or a different region, over another version, if the packaging is nice and spangly what nice looking boxsets have you guys got :) |
I like my Terminator 2 special edition with the nifty alluminum case.
The lord of the rings special editions have nice little boxes with cool pictures. Meet the feebles has a picture of a frog with a gun to it's head. Kinda hard to beat that, |

I also have the T2 special edition with the aluminium case. Thats about it for nifty or spangly. Oh I have this one......kinda different http://www.dvdbooty.com/images/total...on_220x315.jpg |
i have a shit pile of box sets on DVD but nothing can compare to the Laserdisc boxsets.
yep, here i go on again about boxsets. My Fair Lady - includes gold soundtrack CD, hardcover book, piece of film. Hellraiser - hand signed Clive Barker script Phantasm - hand signed pictures of director and star - gold soundtrack CD Nightmare before xmas - hardcover 'making of' book - + extras Jaws - Soft cover book, cd soundtrack terminator 2 - 2 different versions - one is 'leatherbound' there are about 20 more but those are my faves that i can remember |
I was gona get the T2 one, I've got the one with the same desing but it's card not metal. Can't find it in the uk, and I of manufacturing fault stories, where the keepcase had been forced into the metal cover, and the clear plastic and coverart slip being ripped to shreds down the side, so it put me off getting the R1 version.
that Total recall one looks good. |

lol I know these laser disks can look pretty smart, when I was in a massive HMV store up london ages ago, I was browsing through some of the laser disks and they looked cool. |

i should update the pictures .. the main one showing the laserdiscs and DVDs is way more crammed ... most of the DVD shelves are 2 deep now. i seriously have to slow down .. i oficially have no more room for lasers now and after a couple hundred more DVDs i wont have room for any more of them either |

anyway lets not go into hellraiser too much, there's a thread in 'modern' ;) and I want to see boxsets :) |

absolutely none that i know of .. unless they're royal daltons or something like that - but my wife hates girly stuff .. she thought she had a lot of records til she met me ! hahahah she appreciates the music .. she married me knowing i was an insane collector - but of course she thinks it's too much junk. Even i have to admit i need to slow down.. you havent seen the hundreds of boxes of toys and books and junk .. you should see all the bloody electronics !!! The house looks like a pawn shop - or a fence operation .. |

you know dont you .. you go through this smuggling in your big titty magazines :) seriously i laughed because you just described every other night of my life. Sneaking in the movies, hiding the bags and receipts :) its like a game .. she knows i do it - she knows i know she knows ...etc .. she doesnt get all that fussed though .. i get some amazing deals from the guys i regularly buy from .. there is buyers power when you are a huge regular ... so she doesnt get too mad at a good deal :) |

*dons Inspector Clueso guise*.... always use cash, leaves no cc trail when she goes inspecting. ;) |
i should start keeping my own bags in the car .. different to the 'deja-vu discs' purple bags from that store.
She recognizes them too easily. |
hide em in the garage, when you park. Then go back and get them later lol

I saw an english "big bust" magazine in a store here once... i cant say that i blame you :D
Plus, who needs magazines when you have the internet? The connection cosyts money, so the porn should be free. Urge, i suggest a system of pulleys and levers designed to obfuscate the passage of discs and vhs tapes from the car to the basement. I have a model built, but a real-world prototype would need dark matter, balsa wood, and the help of a Laplander with experince in tropical drink making. Those Laplanders are godamn hard to come by. |

like the DVDs arriving in the basement - in Full Screen .. |

I would weep openly if that happened. |
anyway... you guys and porn, anyone would think you were addicted to titties.
Bruce Lee Set is nice. |

I always liked the Alien Legacy, btu now i have to get the godamn quadrilogy.... http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg |
