Hey, I am doi8ng a research paper in my english class about violence in the media (how it doesnt affect people) and was hoping to use freddy fan in my paper. sorry to bring this up and have to make you guys explain it to all the newer members, but i really need this. could one of you please post the link that to the site that had the article about what happened.

and also if anybody knows any links to sites about my topic i would appreciate the help!

What do you mean fairly overlooked? It looks like their trying to pass a law where people can grow and sell....plus you guys have a whole channel on TV dedicated to Pot lol it looks pretty funny to me......:D

i actually had to do a paper about that not too long ago. got a pretty good grade as well... could give you a possible outline.

Just reposting something I wrote a while ago.
It's only brief, but accurate:

Freddyfan was around 13 at the time, and for around two to three weeks prior to the "incident", had said many things that indicated he was having some issues at school, mostly from people treating him in a derogatory manner, teachers in particular.
One day he came in and posted that he "couldn't take it anymore", and that he was going to "end it", and "PROBABLY hurt a lot of people", including any law enforcement sent in to apprehend him.
He actually seemed very upset by something, anyone who had spoken to him in the few weeks beforehand would've clearly seen this.
There were no direct threats made, "shooting" never even came into it, nor were his desired methods shared with anyone.
AMK contacted some local law enforcement, and then THEY referred it to the fbi. He was apprehended the next morning at school before anything even happened, and a small knife was found in his backpack.
Had AMK not done this, he may have in fact landed himself in a much worse situation than he is now.
He never went to jail.
He was questioned, given counselling, and was placed under house arrest, with no computer priviledges, although I am not aware for how long.

He wasn't some psycho asshole, again, those who have spoken to him would know that, I still don't even think he had honest intentions to do it - I think he just wanted to be heard.

This entire incident made the news, and, naturally, we were shortly flooded with all manner of "blame horror" idiots, and OBVIOUSLY a few gossip hounds.
