Suicide Club
Just finished watching Suicide Club. Anyone else seen it? What did you think about it?
Never watched it. Is it any good?
it was a great movie.doesnt make a whole lot of sense but its still got all the elements of a great movie.gore.comedy.Asians.Animal Stompings.beautiful
hold on, im a little hungover, is that the one where a whole bunch of asian chicks are all giggling and having a good time while they're waiting to get crushed by a train?? then they do get killed by said train?

Yeah, that's it. I really liked it but just felt like there were some parts of the story that was left unfinished. Remember....don't jump on the bandwagon and follow fads just to be part of a group, stay connected with yourself! :) |
Yeah, it's a pretty great movie
that train scene kicked ass
Yep, and the part about halfway through the movie, where we see people killing themselves in different (weird!) ways is just crazy! (in a good way! :) )
*edit* The oven scene comes to mind! |
Suicide Club
"The Suicide Club" or "Jitsatsu Circle" directed by Sihon Sono. It is a japanese film released in 2002. I'm not going to spoil it but it's worth checking out!.....
http://imdb.com/title/tt0312843/ p.s. there are some facts in the film....do some research. I'll tell you one thing, 94 people in Japan kill themselves each day. |
This movie has been on my wishlist for awhile now, I been looking for somebody who has it to trade dvd-r backup copies with.
i rented a copy, and was pretty impressed, the end was a little odd though. oh well. all in all it was pretty nifty.
they're all like that. Apparently it's part of the Japanese culture to not include the part of the movie that explains things. Ringu explains its self more than any other Japanese horror movie I've ever seen, and I've seen 9 of them
I started to watch this movie and almost fell asleep:rolleyes: It did start out in an intriguing way, but when Blondie broke into song, I just had to stop.
However, I very much enjoyed other Japan Horror movies, like The Cure or Kaïro. I don't mind that everything isn't always explained, but you do need something holding it all together and I just missed that in Suicide Club. |
Blondie?

the J-Pop singer guy

glad you liked it :D I've got to burn it myself.
do you trade backups?
cant,my burner doesnt work
I saw this movie at the videostore earlier.... It caught my interest when i read about the mass suicide of 54 school girls throwing themselves under a train at the same time... I may rent it the next time.
Interesting film with some great gore, but it just kind of left me with a "what the fuck just happened?" feeling.....which sometimes is good, but in this case I was very disappointed with the ending. The build up to that was great though.
From what i read, it seems most people were disappointed by the end.
The end explained itself. Not completely logically, more symbolicaly than anything but it was there. It was just odd but hey. all Japanese movies are. Anyone see Totoro?
