Eating & Watching Horror Movies

Ok, is there anyone else here that CANNOT eat while watching a horror movie? More specifically, anyone here that cannot eat pizza while watching a horror movie?

Apparently, my friend thinks that is weird behavior on my part because it is fake gore.

Ummm, well...no shit! But, horror movies in general are fake, but that doesn't mean people don't get scared when they watch them.

haha...thats a funny point...my mom was a bio major in college, and she said she had a friend who would disect things/conduct autopsies while eating a sandwich. lol your post just reminded me of that...

anyway, i definitely have trouble eating anything red and saucy while watching bloody movies.

and i usually cant eat for hours after watching night of the living dead.

Holy lord! I would never be able to do that...that's funny!

ShankS 10-26-2004 03:43 PM

eating whilst watching horror...... na cant say it bothers me. I like a good snack during a film.

when we were kids used to watch all the Hammer Horror films, that my dad taped on a Saturday night, next day during our Sunday lunch... used to love em.

dantehorrorfan 10-26-2004 03:47 PM

THAT'S what I'm talkin' 'bout! Awww, man...I would never...

*pukes* :(

Haphazard 10-26-2004 03:53 PM

Munchin' on some Goobers, or hitting the Dorito bag...no prob.

But, I must be a complete pussy, 'cause I literally have to watch the most non-threatening stuff I could find (cartoons for example...lol) if I am eating anything like spaghetti, pizza, mozzarella stix, etc.

FairyKorpes 10-26-2004 04:09 PM

I can't eat anything watching like the medical channel, with them hammering a nose or sucking out somenoe's fat. Oh barf! But horror, no problem.

DaBroMain 10-26-2004 04:10 PM

Aww man i love me a good plate of sketti whilst watchiing a good horror/ gore flick then again my dad is a doctor and ever since i was knee high to a fucking grasshopper i been watching him operate and sew ppls limbs back on.:D :D

Sam The Egg 10-26-2004 04:11 PM

I once ate sloppy joes whilst watching Zombie. It wasn't a pleasant experience...I hate sloppy joes.

But no, eating anything while watching anything is no problem.

Me too!!!

They start banging on that nose with their little chrome hammers, drilling on bones and wielding that lipo sword in peoples bellys and I turn my head the other way. But put it up on the big screen and call it Horror, and it's time to pass the popcorn, and pizza rolls.

urgeok 10-26-2004 06:24 PM

I watched Day of the Dead just this very evening while eating and putting a computer together for a friend..

Funny idea for a thread.

I think I'd puke if I ate while watching Dirty Dancing though ...

I cannot and will not eat anything out of a bowl while watching Dead-Alive. I am good to go any other time though.

Lol, its funny cause the pizza thing happened to a friend of mine, apparently Little Ceasers Hot and Ready pizza and Hellraiser 2 don't go together, sinse the sause on the pizza resemble mussle tissue.... although i don't get it but he couldn't eat. As for me I Could Eat Jello while watching Guniea Pig films with out even thinking twice

knee jerk 10-27-2004 08:22 AM

Hammering a nose ???

Jeez, that's about the worst imagery I could ever think of! But funny.
But I know what you mean, those freakin' medical shows...even "E freakin' R" ugh....no food. Ya know, especially "ER" 'cause for some reason there's always someone getting raped or having their hands torn off and they're always screaming and screaming and you know....its NOT in good fun.
That's why horror, generally speaking, rules. Its all in good fun.

My wife berates me for eating while watching just about anything 'cause I'll go in for a huge spoon-full of whatever right when something's going on then I'm all like "hey, what just happened?" then she has to rewind and makes that huffing sound like I've exasperated her for the last time.

LOL!

zwoti 10-27-2004 08:26 AM

i'll eat if i'm hungry...can't say i've ever seen anything that upset me that much.

Fluff the Ho 10-27-2004 12:43 PM

i can eat but its not so much the looks that kills everything its all the gristling noises....

Sedated_replica 10-27-2004 02:17 PM

It depends on the movie
