is your significant other into horror?
Relationships that last have certain built in elements:
You like the looks of one another. You can talk to each other. You can stand their friends/family. You trust each other. They don't make you wanna stab them. Now the really important stuff is whether you have common interests. Guys: if she likes comix in any form MARRY HER NOW! Girls: if he digs some kind of shopping MARRY HIM NOW! So is your girlfriend/wife or boyfriend/husband into horror? They don't have to be fanatics like you are but are they willing to go with you to see "the Grudge?" Are they cool with you staying up all night to watch "monstervision?" Do they have their own particular horror movie favorites? |

And...Everyone I KNOW is all into horror:) |
yes, yes, yes....you hate shopping....how could I possibly have forgotten such an important fact when I obviously posted this thread only for the sake of bloodvayne....
Anyways, you people know what I'm trying to say here. And bloodvayne, you didn't answer the question. Lets get a little more in depth here and keep to the spirit of the law, not the letter. You're not by any chance a lawyer are you? |

My ex and I were both into all of the same things when it came to horror. Loved all the same movies, same views, even planned our honeymoon to include going to haunted sites along the east coast.
Too bad he had to lie all the time.... I was into his comics, hockey card collection, and wrestling too! Oh well... |

As for my wife, she likes horror. She'll go with me to see a new horror film, as long as its good. For example: I had to practically drag her by the hair to go and see Freddy vs. Jason ... and it turns out I should have listened to her on that one. But, she's more affected by them than I am. She won't watch them right before bed, because she has no control over freaking herself out. But we have the same taste in what we consider to be good horror, so I don't have to worry about her coming home with a copy of FvJ to pollute my collection (which has many a weed in it already). |
My boyfriend is very inconsistant about his so-called likes and dislikes in movies. He says he hates gore, but he likes to watch Final Destination 2 with me. He says he hated The Ring, but we're going to see The Grudge tonight...
In general, he's more of a comedy guy and Im more of a horror girl, but it doesnt matter That much because he lets me ramble on and on about movies even if he isnt all that interested. |
I haven't had a boyfriend since January, but the last one was a huge horror movie fan too...although we always argued over which horror movies were the best. :p Jason was his favorite horror movie guy, and Michael was my favorite, and we argued over some others that he thought was great and I just thought they were "okay" and the ones that I thought were great, and he thought were terrible.
The one before that wasn't a huge horror movie fan but he liked them. My first boyfriend was also a huge horror movie fan, and we didn't argue over them...we usually liked the same ones. He would have been perfect for me, if he hadn't been an asshole. :o :( |

We like the same music, movies, hate the same things, like the same things, think the same things.

Uh......hmmm....well, there were some interesting answers here.
Hey Natas....he sounds like a jackass.....he didn't deserve you. Hey Stingy Jack.....again, I don't care who likes shopping or comix, it was just a way to start the ball rolling.....those were very broad generalizations regarding what most people think typical guys and typical girls are like. Meant to be funny. Hey Bloodrayne.....water under the moat, o.k.? As for me, my wife (2 years tomorrow!) and I were more into punk rock and sci-fi but we both discovered we were into horror. We're spending our anniversary doing a REAL haunted house tour in Atchison, KS. There's some screwed up hauntings in this tiny little town! They even did a special on it last year on like A&E or something. BTW: she wasn't into comix but I was and I got her into a couple of titles that she now can't live without..... she introduced me to "South Park" so we're even. |

I live close to atchison but dont know the house you are talking about!:( Fort Scott has a couple though.....) |

Mine's not really one way or the other. She's the perfect Blockbuster target group, slap New Release on it, put it at eye level, with cool cover graphics and she'll rent it.
|
My gf will watch them with me... she really liked the movie 'monster man' because they guy that played the 'asshole' reminded her a lot of me...
