7. NO REMAKES AT ALL EVER!! originals-in all of their goofs, poor picture quality, bad make up, and horrible acting-make them classics. leave them be..rest in peace. NO MORE CGI! it's awful. what ever happened to MAKE UP? hello. shit could look bad ass these days. why so much CGI?! if there must be an update i will agree that the original maker of the picture, if still alive, should be given a proper budget to remake it. WHY CAN'T PPL JUST MAKE A NEW, UNIQUE, QUALITY HORROR PICTURE INSTEAD OF RIPPING OFF AN OLD IDEA? IS IT SIMPLY B/C LOW CLASS, NO TALENT FILM MAKERS ARE MAKING BIG MONEY ON SOMEONE ELSES IDEAS AND HARD WORK?! CURSED BE THE FOOL WHO ATTEMPTS TO RE-MAKE SUCH A CLASSIC AS THE IMMORTAL HALLOWEEN!!

Arioch 10-20-2004 04:39 PM

Ive never had my stomach turned by movie gore....

Sam The Egg 10-20-2004 04:45 PM

1) All time top horror film
Se7en

2) Top horror series/franchise
Friday the 13th or Evil Dead (Halloween has a movie in the bottom 10, so it's out)

3) Best character in a horror movie
John Doe or Lord Summerisle

4) Most frightening scene/moment in a horror movie
Well, none are particularly scary to me now, but when I first saw them, these two scared me like nothing else in movies. Number a) When Michael Myers sat up after being stabbed in the closet in Halloween. Second is in Evil Dead when Deadite Scott sat up when Ash was fighting to keep the door shut.

5) Most stomach churning/gory scene moment in a horror movie
It's not a horror movie, but there's this one scene in Caligula...
They seal up his urinary tract and pour wine down his throat for a while. Then after a while, they poke is stomach with a sword

6) Best decade for horror and why
70's. Because stuff could actually happen, and there's no better cinematography than 70's supernatural horror movies, especially the European ones.

7) Remakes? Wouldn't it be better to give Tobe Hooper or George Romero a $50 million budget instead?
The 10 Commandments is a classic and it was a remake of a movie. And if that's too christian for you, Casablanca (c'mon, nobody doesn't like Casablanca) was based on a play.

8) Horror movie that you are currently looking forward to the most
The Machinist (or Saw if you don't count The Machinist)

9) Should Monkey Do go fuck himself?
Absolutely

kpropain 10-20-2004 05:35 PM

3) Best character in a horror movie
Chop Top

4) Most frightening scene/moment in a horror movie
Meh nothing scares me

5) Most stomach churning/gory scene moment in a horror movie
Some of Herschell Gordon Lewis's films were pretty gory...Probablythe tounge scene in Blood Feast

6) Best decade for horror and why
Tie between the 70's and 80's, just a bunch of great films from these eras

7) Remakes? Wouldn't it be better to give Tobe Hooper or George Romero a $50 million budget instead?
Of course, i'm not totally opposed to remakes, but there sure have been alot of them lately, and most of them suck...

Jaime Lee Curtis....just pick one

4) Most frightening scene/moment in a horror movie
The split second when we see the girl with no face in The Ring.

5) Most stomach churning/gory scene moment in a horror movie
When the Alien comes outta the guy's stomach while he's eating breakfast. He's eating BREAKFAST for chrissake!!!

6) Best decade for horror and why
Who knows??? buuuut the 80s gave us both "Return of the Living Dead" and "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" soooo....

7) Remakes? Wouldn't it be better to give Tobe Hooper or George Romero a $50 million budget instead?
