I do own the book somewhere, but this morning I was online reading Christopher Morley's, "The Haunted Bookshop"--not exactly horror--but okay for elementary school students.

Really Embarrassing Videos

I have a number of really embarrassing videos in my collection, which exists in VHS, laserdisc and DVD formats...here's a few of the really fun, really awful titles:

Reptilicus
Bend It Like Beckham
S Club 7 in Miami, Volumes 1 AND 2
The Day Time Ended
Dracula vs. Frankenstein
The Slime People
The Astounding She Monster
Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar
various Pokemon
Palm Springs Weekend
Toxic Crusaders (Toxic Avenger TV cartoon)
William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet
Humanoids from the Deep
Orgy of the Dead
The Glove
Snowbeast
Night Train to Terror
colorized Night of the Living Dead
The Apple
Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo (signed by the director!)
Freddy vs. Jason
Beware! the Blob

....and many more!

meetthecreeper 10-09-2004 09:32 PM

OK I will admit I have all the Star Trek films, including Generations which is horrible. I also love Harry Potter and I bought this Sesame Street video because I love the C is for Cookie song. I told my wife it was for the kids *sigh* *hangs head in shame*

Replies to the People.

ShankS: Well, we didn’t have Guy Fawkes Night in the U.S. But we do now, apparently!

Matt the Creeper: Your Cookie Monster thing is better than my Pokemon thing. That kicks ass.

Fluff the Ho: You might be amused to know that I purchased more than 20 copies of “S Club 7 in Miami” at the local discount store (they were cheap as hell), and then proceeded to hand them out as gifts to everyone who would listen--friend and foe alike. There are still stacks and stacks of them available, and I was thinking of getting some more. Do you want some?

filmmaker2 10-10-2004 02:38 PM

Whoops.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention:

Robot Monster
Infra-Man
Beat Street
Godzilla's Revenge
Nightbeast
The Sea Serpent
The Alien Factor
Squirm
and...
Oasis of the Zombies

Arioch 10-10-2004 05:33 PM

Not friggin' bad.

I see a lot of people here have excellent taste in CRAP!

Only the best. (Cracks open an Old English 800 at 6 in the morning.)

I also have one of those animated (by Klasky-Csupo!) Ronald McDonaldland videos that those suckers used to hawk for $3.99 while simultaneously selling cardboard hamburgers.

And there's always room for Jello!

filmmaker2 10-11-2004 02:30 PM

Giggly.

Well. Fluff, I didn't expect anyone to take me up on that offer, but it was friendly of you to consider such a thing.

S Club 7 is not really a band, it's more like an "Invasion of the Bodysnatchers" cult that takes over your soul or something. Once you get into it, you can't stop. It curses you, it does something to you.

But seriously: Go over to Ebay and type in "S Club 7 Miami" and you will see that someone made 50,000 too many of these tapes, and everyone is selling them for 99 cents or less. If this overrun hadn't happened, I would never have found out about this talented bubblegum pop group!

I am proud of all of my dvds

Got loads of shit DVDs but collected them on purpose.

Collect martial arts films. Got a thing for buyin those really cheap ones from the supermarket that have obviously been made in someones back yard.

Great starring actors include

Bruce Lei and Chow Yun Phat

Gay films but fuckin hillarious to watch. Some of the actors cant do kung fu for shit.

Steve_Hutchison 10-12-2004 03:30 AM

I'm not ashamed of anything in my collection. Some people may have problems with the following tough:

- Groundhog day
- Big Trouble in Little China
- Stay tuned

Those are the only flicks I own on DVD that aren't horror (appart from the Indiana Jones and Back to the Future box sets)

jay o2 waster 10-12-2004 04:06 AM

A lot of these are good movies, admit it
