McCain forces his campaign to knees, places gun to it's temple

First Colin Powell publicly endorses Obama, now this... This could possibly be as bad a move as taking a pretty functional retard as your running mate.

And why not start a baseless rumor mill while we're at it (lets see if ths spreads), he chose Palin because he is no longer attracted to his wife, and he secretly wants to bang his daughter. he figured an attractive running mate would distract him.

For the record, i voted for this guy when bush and gore were at each other's throats.

Wow. He buggered that up!

Nobody in Western PA really votes anyway. There's pierogies to fry and animals to shoot.

The funny thing is, Obama's court isnt too concerned apparently, or they wouldnt have said anythign in the first place, but McCain needs to wrangle every electoral vote he can get his hands on.

the best part is that he screwed up his recovery too. :D

You're right. With recent events such as Powells and other republican delegates switching over being "Obamicans," the democratic party and campaign isn't too pressed about McCain's sudden dirty tactics. Now of course it's only natural for campaigns to get nasty towards the end, but I think I've seen the most questioning of character out of the man who built is campaign on supposed "patriotism." I mean I respect McCain for joining the armed forces. THough it wasn't like he was the brightest crayon in the box because he graduated from the Naval Academy in the bottom 5 of the class. Aside from that, he was a pow in Vietnam--not a war hero as John Kerry was. Kerry actually has the purple hearts to prove it; although he didn't really " woo" me away from other democratic presidential hopefuls in 2004.

Anyway, I was watching lots of CSPAN, MSNBC, and a lot of other political tv sources and it appears as if the McCain campaign prefers to ignore the pledge support from Powell, in hopes to make him seem fearless; a representative from his campaign has even stressed Powell's support is just motivation for the Obama campaign; they argue that he is not going to be a substantial factor, for he is not campaigning alongside Obama for traditional red states--he simply endorses him. Whether this is a sly way of the republicans to cover up from what I really think they feel--with it only being 2 weeks until the election expect things to get even nastier guys...we've already witnessed the propoganda of Obama being accused as a terrorist/terrorist ally, and a Muslim. Who knows what else, McCain will go after.

I don't know what they're talking about....all I ever see out here in PA is Obama posters.

Psycom5k 10-22-2008 02:32 PM

McCain's an idiot, and people are starting to realize that. And who wants another idiot leader after our last 8 years?

Really? I know PA for a long time was dubbed "Clinton Country" but being that the party is united and no longer tearing each other limb from limb I could see why there are so many Obama posters. But in rural PA I thought that would be elephant and not donkey zone. PA has a lot of electoral votes up for grabs--thus the need for pressure. But if PA's gonna' stay blue for awhile--that's great for Obama and my fellow demorats on hdc.

Well I live in Pittsburgh, so it's not rural where I am...that's probably what makes the difference.
