My Hairless Kitty Has Come Home
 

At long last! The boyfriend and I drove to Long Island Friday night, stayed over at a quality EconoLodge hotel, and picked up our Sphynx kitten yesterday.

Here is little Ripley, at 9 1/2 weeks old, scooped up from the breeder's:

She spent the 4-hour drive home curled up in a fleece blanket in my lap (I couldn't leave her in the pet carrier):

And now, after what I thought was bonding, she's contendedly hidden under our bed and has barely ventured out. :(

I know, I know - I need to have patience with my new kitten... But I just want to play with her!

She's er...prett- Oh I can't do it! I can tell little white lies but seriously, that thing is scary! I'm sure she'll be fun to play with though. Maybe. Possibly.

...I don't know what I was thinking when I clicked on this. But for some reason I'm disappointed.
