i've also been thumbing through a book occasionally that's a lot of fun. it's called weird u.s. and it's just filled with all the weird tourist trap/haunted/unbelievable crap we have here in the states. it would be a blast to plan a trip around some of this stuff.

I just started reading Jaws. It's very different from the movie, in that it is more adult-oriented. I'm not saying the movie is geared toward children. But, the movie didn't have much swear words, sexual innuendo, or gore in it. The book has all of these. I still love the movie, but the book is catching my attention.

One of the very few cases that I thought the movie was far better than the book it was based on, the characters weren't nearly as sympathetic, and I think the writing is very weak. It was interesting to read and compare the two, for sure. But I never picked up another Benchley book.
