Boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii thank fuck I wasn't the one that paid to see this movie. Geesh. Hollywood stereotypical action film.but, Gary Oldman : ) you barely see him. The usual one liners, choreographed car chases with guns that have never ending bullets!! MOTHERFUCKER!

Ryan Reynolds face is gorgeous though.

TREKKIES (1999). Pretty interesting time capsule about super intense loyalty that some fans have for the STAR TREK's. While it has been labled "condescending" by many critics/Fan sites, didn't find it so. ***

Loved both of those Spanish thrillers. Have you seen The Invisible Guest? from the director of El Cuerpor aka The Body. Not as good as Cuerpo/Body and kinda predictable but a pretty intense who/how done it thriller, you'll like it too.

Thanks for the rec. Will check out The Invisible Guest.

As far I know, I think La cara oculta aka The Hidden Face got an Indian remake in the MURDER franchise...have you seen that?

The only one I liked in the Murder series was the first one. Didn't bother with the rest. Boring, dreary stuff.

From those Sci-fi duo, only seen Kill Switch.
Read a few bad reviews about The Recall at IMDB and thought I'd skip it. But as you recommended, now I'll have to check it out.

I stopped following IMDB reviews a long time back.

As long as a film has a decent rating (around 5/10) and has a plot which intrigues me, I am all game for it. Preference given to mystery-suspense films these days.

Btw. are there only 3 seasons of Hemlock Grove?

Yep. One of the main reasons why it's so good. I don't like stretched out shows/series - just because it became popular and the channels decide to rake in the TRPs by over-roasting the main contents.

Headless wasn't the greatest movie over all:
- the acting was (sometimes) sub par
- the first 15 minutes have no discernable plot
- the male characters look and talk like they're auditioning for a Rob Zombie-movie
- the fact that the bowling alley owner is killed off screen

But it also has a few things going for it
- a scary killer (though his mask reminded me of Corey Taylor somehow)
- genuinely creepy vibes
- disturbing imagery
- in a way, it made me long for the traditional last girl-payoff, but it did not give that and - sort of like the original version of Funny Games - that made it better.
