LMAO. Exactly. Ripley and Leeloo handle the unholy bidding on the ground. I will need a bird-like visage of them both to handle it in the air.

its a place called the Warsaw Caves - outside of Peterborough - not far from Toronto.

the caves arent typical caves like in the side of mountains - they are more like a giant rock pile - leaning against each other. too small for me to get through without wrecking the camera.

the water was actually pretty warm - all kinds of people were swimming in it..

Just spent the weekend in Reykjavik, Iceland. Beautiful country, if a little sparse in places and it is disconcerting to smell the sulphur in the air.
Here's a few pics taken over the weekend anyways

The view from our hotel room

The site of the worlds first parliament (apparently)

Geysir (icelandic spelling!) about an hours drive from Reykjavik

Gullfoss, Icelanders say its the second most beautiful waterfall in the country. I loved this place so took loads of shots

Iceland is definately worth a visit, shame I only had a basic pocket camera cos there is potential for some truly stunning pictures.

Thanks HF, I couldve posted three times as many!

Its an amazing place, but unfortunately we didnt have time to do all that we wanted. Not far from the waterfall is the Langjokull glacier which wouldve been great to experience. Maybe next time.............

My old computer didn't very much agree with Photobucket, hence why it's taken so long to post this.

Now, given that it's been a while since I've seen the film I could quite easily be wrong, but one of the stops on the cruise was Florence, and I think this was the balcony Hannibal Lecter threw that police dude off of in Hannibal.

Cool pics MD

The top one looks really awesome.

...and yeh cute belly button :p

X¤MurderDoll¤X 08-22-2010 01:08 PM

the significance of the second to last picture is that pretty much my whole body was sunburned and I tell everyone that I can't tan and don't burn. so it was to prove that even in australia the sun can't touch me, with the help of photoshop anyway. in actuality the sun taught me a lesson I won't soon forget.

and because I take more pictures of my stomach than anything else so I figured I'd get it out of the way early. ;)

I hate these kind of photos, but some people like this stuff. probably the most boring photo I've ever taken.

Yeah that first pic of the guy with the cowboyhate is pretty impressive - what kinda photoshop adjustments did you make (more saturation and contrast?)

thanks, high contrast, crushed blacks, bit of a cyan push.

I generally over adjust in photoshop I'm trying harder and harder to stop myself.

ChronoGrl 08-22-2010 03:15 PM

Cool pics, MD. What camera do you use?

I like the first belly button pic too - Great perspective. I like how the wrinkles in the sheet are a continuation of the rib cage.

Mmm, I know the feeling. They lay all the cool techniques there for you, it almost feels like a crime to just use a couple.
