He really shows the human side of drug dealers and gangsters, especially when you meet Denny's mom and family. Takeshi is one of my favorite Japanese directors and actors.

Donnie Darko...Pretty good

Red Eye...Really good...But, not great

Shattered...I had to watch this one because Dustin had never seen it...And I have ALWAYS loved it...Whatever you THINK you know while you're watching this, you are wrong...As it unfolds in the last 20 minutes, it makes you think back over the entire movie to put all of the pieces together...It's awesome

Alone In The Dark...Pretty good...But, not great...

The Cave...I ended up really liking this one...a LOT

Urban Legends 3...The series is definitely 'slowling down'...

Love Object...Hmm...Not what I was expecting...Not really too good, but I'm glad I finally watched it

Riding The Bullet...Bought it because it was a King...Not too bad, but a lot was added that wasn't in the book

The Fog (original)...Always great

The Fog (remake)...I noticed that they left out quite a few things from the original in order to make room for the 'Elizabeth' storyline...The girl who played the radio DJ, had NOTHING on Adrienne Barbeau...The kills were a LOT better than the original...It was a good movie overall

Watching the original and the remake back-to-back was a lotta fun:)

I dunno - he was alright, I just didn't get into this movie as much as I hoped I would...maybe on a second viewing I will re-assess my rating, I was just left a little disappointed on first viewing and it doesn't compare to films like Duel to me. However I will watch again sometime and hopefully will get more out of it then.

one of the most though provoking, suspenseful, tense, creepy, well acted films in the genre i've seen in years. If i used an ABC rating system it'd be an A+

Certainly heads and shoulders above your other 2 C's

i thought the Gift had one of the most predictable endings of all times..a very pedestrian effort all around.

no way at all in the same ballpark as session 9

Yeah, it was better than Brothers Grimm or The Gift, but I didn't especially like any of the 3. Both of those other two coulda been borderline D+ but the all star cast pulled THe Gift from the Ds for me. Plus Katie Holmes topless cant be all bad.

Anyways, Im not exactly sure why I didnt love Session 9 like everyone else around here does. I actually found Curdled quite a bit more enjoyable and was debating whether or not to give that one an A-.

maybe too much positive hype built up your expectations and the film went in another direction than you were anticipating.

if that was the case it would be wise to see it again ..
often a second viewing under those circumstances ends up with a completely different outlook on the film.
