So this is a remaster of that?
What format is it on?
I might check it out this time around.

I can't really get into any RE games from 4 onwards...I hate the perspective.
It's not that I can't stand any kind of evolution, but personally I thought the direction they took in "Code Veronica" and "Resident Evil Zero" perspective/graphics wise was much better than what they've done between 4-6.
I know. I'm one of very few people that doesn''t completely love RE4.

I have the imported collector's edition on PS3. I'm sure I posted about it either here or on the HorrorDVDs forum. It is an HD version of the Gamecube remake of the first Resident Evil.

Pokemon Black 1 & 2

"Uncharted 4" ps4

Amazing facial graphics, voice acting and general body actions in the many cut scenes (it's the smallest details) makes all the characters human and interesting, and the story/gameplay doesn't let you catch your breath. You have to force yourself to save the game and take a break.
I could do without all the shooting, but thankfully there's actually an option to just focus on the adventure part which makes you immune to bullets.

"Stardew Valley" PS4

Slow but addicting.

Been playing through "God of War", the PS3 re-release of 1&2.
I don't know if I've mentioned this in here, but GOW was one of my favourite games.
It was a bit linear, but the scale, the story, the violence, the interesting combat and magic system, the level design...all made for a damn great modern slash/beat em up.

I played the second one, and being impatient as I am, a level managed to piss me off and I quit after less than a few tries. (It was like some wall of fire coming towards you with limited cover as I recall). Ever since I've wanted to play the OTHER sequels which look great...now with this NEW one coming out...I have to throw myself back into it.

It's fun. Still frustrating. Great challenge level for a game of this type. Awesome music too.

Finished Horizon Zero Dawn. Now playing Stardew Valley

cheebacheeba 03-21-2017 12:05 AM

Anyone seen this?
Looks fun...kind of like "hunter the reckoning".

RollinFan 03-22-2017 01:04 PM

I'm a little over half way through Borderlands and getting my ass kicked. Apparently inventory management is a big part of the game and I suck at it. ::big grin::

Stalker shadow of Chernobyl.
And wanting to play stalker clear sky, but its having launching issues. Need to see if I can find a patch for it online.

Roland Ahoy!

Damn, almost got used to not visiting this place anymore. Back on the drugs!!

"Mount & Blade: Warband" ps4

Graphics wise this game looked dated already in 2010 when it came out on pc and sadly the developers didn't manage to turn it into a console game very well in 2016, as the fighting techniques are impossible to master using a controller and not a mouse. That being said, who gives a fuck about fighting skills when you can have others fighting for you! It's incredibly satisfying gathering heroes and slowly building a bigger and stronger army to fight your battles and using this army as you like, either joining a faction or taking over the kingdom all on your own. You can do whatever you like as there's no clear direction or story. Mount & Blade can best be describe as a "Risk" based rpg. I believe I've been playing this game for way over 50 hours and I'm not even halfway throug it.

"Horizon Zero Dawn" ps4

Holy hell is this game huge!!

If I hadn't already played Far Cry Primal and Witcher 3 I would probably rate this a 10/10 game. But as it feels like a rip off of several other games, that I've played, will probably drag down my final rating a point or two. But it certainly is a good game and sure is beautiful.

I thought Horizon Zero Dawn was great but i can definitely see where your comparisons come from. I felt the combat style was more improvised then Witcher though.

Sure, didn't the Witcher only use a sword? I'm a melee guy myself, so for me that was perfect. In Horizon tho range attacks and laying traps was a necessity to win certain battles and I totally suck at that. I'm really not a stealth kind of gamer as i lack the patience, so preparing before a fight is really not my style. It actually doesn't cross my mind to do so before jumping into the fire. So when I'm in a battle that takes a lot of skills my mind tends to go blank and I can only do hack & slash, which is totally frustrating in this game as you can't upgrade your spear, only everything else.

Actually a have a lot of frustrating issues with this tripple A game that I will mention as soon as I've beaten it. So... to be continued.

I was actually playing Witcher 3 before i played this so the change in fighting was very noticeable to me. I loved the fighting in The Witcher and don't think theres anything wrong with it. In fact i probably had more fun with Witcher. Horizon wins points with its ingenuity plus i enjoy stealth fighting.

I used the traps later on for big battles but sometimes it just felt so tedious and i just wanted to get into the action. I didnt like that you couldnt upgrade your spear either. It made it really frustrating when they would get up close to you and you were basically forced to run away and regroup.

After 80 hours of Horizon Zero Dawn I'm still a spastic with range weapons. The birds are pissing me off, cuz there's no other way to deal with them. Auto aim MY ASS!!!::mad::

I don't know what a rats game is. I would guess it's not.

cheebacheeba 03-27-2017 01:09 AM

He means RTS.
...you know, not a game designed for little rats to play...

Resident Evil 7

On a retro kick - working my way through the original NES Legend of Zelda. Less retro, but probably going to tackle Ocarina of Time next...Never managed to beat it as a kid.

Very rewarding game. Some annoying stages but for me it's one of the most memorable games ever.

Thumb resize.

On psvr.

Looks pretty damn scary, but the controls are fuuuucked. ::sad::

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Not very far into it at the moment...but, a very nice looking game.
As per usual very dialogue driven, with great voice acting and a nice musical score.
I'm quite enjoying that (at least for now) the two main characters really don't like each other very much at all.
Can't really rate the gameplay or action yet, but, it seems thus far to be what one would expect from an Uncharted game.

NightOfTheLiving_Sam 10-14-2017 11:25 AM

I rarely speak of video games because I've never been big of a gamer. I enjoy games when I'm playing them with somebody else. My boyfriend got me into World Of Warcraft. I play it to escape and I do love the fantasy world to be honest. Every time I play it, I always picture as if I'm going on some big adventure, lol!!

Always play it at night once my boyfriend gets home from work. ::love::

Losing many hours between Fallout 4 (I just can't stop) and Divinity Original Sin. I have declined sustenance because taking the time to nourish would deny me time with these games.
