WHAT!! I'm a Brit and I know precisely why the attack happened. You really should get to know the real US and its real history/meanings.

But first you have to listen. Sit still and listen. Without interrupting.

Then you will have learned something.

I love you, MovieLover!

Obviously, it a long story. But sum it up briefly, as a beginning for further research. Who was behind 9/11, and why did the attack happen?

Thanks for the tip, Repo. I'll likely be doing some window shopping at the very least. Ooo and almost time to start lurking stores in the wee hours of the morning for Halloween goodies. So excited!

Repo'd 09-13-2015 03:04 AM

Haha!! Oh, I've already spent some cash at the local dollar store on some new creepy string lights and other crap. I'm beyond ready for the Holiday, as usual!

Roiffalo 09-13-2015 03:11 AM

I'm in desperate need of some new lights. My purple strands that light up my room burnt out last year or so, and I've been using multi-color Christmas once since. >.<

So lazy about going to Wal*Mart though. I have no self control there and I'm never in town during the day when dollar stores are open. I'll have to find an excuse and make my way down sometime though.

(and with that it's my bedtime, MAYBE I'll be able to get on before work this time rather than after. pfft.)

Ooo - What are you going with? I was thinking about getting little white Christmas lights or mini lanterns to light up my living room.

MovieLover12 09-14-2015 10:38 AM

Realised the other day that we've all committed incest.

Funny you should ask! I actually made it to a dollar store today and got a couple awesome strands! One is a battery operated light that has bats! Super cool! I'm going to work them into a lampshade or at least try. The second is a normal outlet strand, but half purple and half GREEN! I can't wait to hang them up and try them out. 8D

Marriage is abuse, a selfish taking of somebody out of the system, controlling them, to keep them around to gather more of the fix they are offering.

See ya, HC!

Married for over 33 years..... 4 kids and another 4 grandchildren. Loving every moment of it. Life is what you make of it.

I'm withya there ML12....I believe someday our species will pay fer our crimes against the earth and each other. I 'magine it'll be a zombie virus.....

MovieLover12 09-20-2015 06:20 AM

Human beings are such a shocking species. I read that a species will only breed if an environment proves favourable. In this case, our environments aren't favourable. So why are people breeding?

Which group of humans do you think has the LEAST business breeding?

All of us. The numbers are far too high at the moment, something needs to happen. Either we eradicate half the world, or move half to Mars after building new bases on the planet.

Damn it! Why couldn't all the people in this bloody ridiculous world just stayed in the middle ages ? The air was much fresher then, there wasn't any cancer....
well except the black death. I really hate modern technologies....
technology be damned!

My environment is quite favorable.

As a species for what a species needs it isn't favourable enough.

We don't need much luckily, human beings are tough and intelligent (relatively speaking) and can survive in much worse conditions than anything any of us currently face.

With population hugely increased since World War Two, put that with the rise of aggressive and narcissistic behaviours, you're more likely to die then survive if an economic crash happens.

By the way, the crash in the United States is coming. Its obvious.

That's cool, my family has land not 20 minutes away and luckily we were all raised to live off it. An economic crash, a failing power grid, a food shortage... I'm ok with it all.

Pessimistic attitudes like yours are just as bad. Why do you have to spread so much negativity. What you're saying isn't "realistic;" it's just negative.

So, why don't you live without these things now? Get some real experience. Conduct your own drills, kinda like they do in school.

Pessimistic! I'm exactly the opposite. I'm trying to do my bit and help others by informing them.

The only reason I'm saying negative things is because the truth is negative. This world has been created and run by people with a lot more money then we've got, and I 've got to say it, I' sick of playing their mind games.

SerialKiller 09-21-2015 11:28 PM

Norma Bates, Margaret White, Pamela Voorhees, even Mrs. Loomis. Just to name a couple. I've read that Charles Manson's mother sold him for a pitcher of beer. Is it always the mother??? In movies, I mean. Lots of girls have daddy issues. I want this explored more in horror movies. Anyone have any movies they could recommend?

hammerfan 09-22-2015 02:33 AM

I'm so sick of hearing about The Pope. Not that I have anything against the man, or his religion. He's going to be here this weekend, and that's all I've heard about on the news for about a month now.
