That's a great movie! You may not expect much (like I did), but I promise you that you'll end up loving it! It should've been in the running for best movie of the year at the Oscars.

Only reason Im not expecting much is Im not a fan of Ron Howard or Russel Crow....Bob Hoskins is usually great though.

War of the Roses for the NEW age.Her lips alone are "easy to please" for me.

I did manage to get in one movie this week....and i only watched it because my son brought it home from the video store in which he works......i've been bugging him for "Venom" since it came out.

Not a bad movie, as far as these go. Some good acting, some good kills.....very "Pumpkinhead" kinda feel to it.....what with the swamp setting and voodoo and all.
Not as predictable as you would think either.

The last movie I saw was Ultraviolet. I felt Ultraviolated for paying money to see this Ultracrap of a movie.

Finished my 'dead' Series last night with Land of The Dead. I enjoyed this but I don't rate it (yet) as much as the others. The ending wasn't great but I can let it off as it has more plus points than negatives for me ( a major plus being Asia Argento!!)

Some good extra's too - liked the bit with the Shaun of the Dead guys lol.

8/10

But I might go higher after another viewing...

I Spit On Your Grave

I hadn't watched this movie in over 10 years. I remembered being pretty indifferent to it when I first viewed it (didn't live up to the hype) but now that I'm a decade older, I was able to appreciate it a lot more. There's a little more to it than exploitation for exploitations' sake (like I consider Last House on the Left to be.) Still, it is what it is; enjoyable, nonetheless. 7/10

i never liked this movie.
a longtime fan of the book (and the Jeff Wayne-? musical)
i was very dissapointed that the power of the book was watered down into a little american religious vehicle.
The George Pal stuff was interesting - but completely void of the emotional strength of the book)
(i.e. the heroic battleship VS tripod fight)

i'm suprised anyone from the UK would like this film considering ..
