I'd rate it much higher than pretty good. The vision of the future it presents is startling, and more terrifying today than when it was made. Very well directed as well.

It had a B-quality to it. I do agree though, it is quite good. Perhaps "pretty good" were the wrong words. I, personally, do not regard it as a masterpiece though. An excellent science fiction in any case. I am sure it is infinitely better than the remake though.

That Weebo thing even annoyed me when I was a kid.

Robocop, of course.

Ditto!! I always have a special fondness for the original Robocop, it was one of the early sci-fi action flicks that I saw & grew up watching plenty of times back in our 80s & 90s VHS days. I still love everything about it...a raw & violent vision of the future, the corrupt-corporate influence over a chaotic society & even the design, outlook & characteristic of RC as a part man & part machine and last but not the least...the fall & rise of Alex Murphy; an awesome & emotionally moving comic book-vigilante sort of crime fighting & revenge tale!
If I ever make a personal all time non-horror Top 100 movie list...the original Robocop will definitely have a place on that list.

Robocop all the way.

Side Note: The remake's definitely worth a watch but nothing compares to the original.
