I'm sorry....I didn't mean to make you frown.:(

Here goes:

Studio executives hoped the director of this film would cast Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi in the lead male roles. The director declined.

The screenplay for this movie was also written by the director, who was only 19 at the time he wrote it.

The director of this movie appears in a brief cameo as a man who is hit by a car and thrown through a plate glass window.

Guess the movie?

Miss Olivia 07-19-2006 10:38 AM

Here's another clue:

The word "moon" appears in the title of every song on this movie.

The_Return 07-19-2006 12:03 PM

Well that last one gives it away as a werewolf movie (Or so I hope), so Im gonna guess American Werewolf in London.

Miss Olivia 07-19-2006 12:18 PM

Yep, you got it.....:)

The_Return 07-19-2006 02:36 PM

Sweet! Here goes:

- Many fans of Greek mythology hate this movie because it takes it's fair share of privileges in telling the story.

- One of the stars is also a high ranking "Man in Black"

- Jack Nicholson and John Lithgow were both considered to play the villain.

Miss Olivia 07-19-2006 02:46 PM

Hercules? (the cartoon)

The_Return 07-19-2006 03:03 PM

Yep! I thought that would be too easy...

Miss Olivia 07-19-2006 03:30 PM

Killer.
Here goes:

This blockbuster was originally going to star Tom Selleck, but he didn't do it. Neither did Nick Nolte.

The spirit effects in this movie were done using mannequins dragged under water in slow motion to achieve an ethereal quality.

There were over 7,000 animals used on the set of this movie, and the only casualty was a tarantula who was accidentally dropped.

The_Return 07-19-2006 08:17 PM

Raiders of the Lost Ark?

Miss Olivia 07-19-2006 08:21 PM

Oohh yeah....chicka chick-a

The_Return 07-19-2006 08:31 PM

- Features footage from a film called "The Storm Breaker"

- Launched it's leading actor to stardom

- Due to a possibly implied gay subtext, the studio ordered that the main villain was only to attack women. (Thankfully, this order was not obeyed.)

Nope, not even remotely close...there isnt even any atempt to hide the gay subtext in that one!

The lead role was originally considered for a classic silent film star, but after his death an unknown was cast instead.

Miss Olivia 07-20-2006 09:44 AM

Dracula?

Surprised it took that long, to be honest.

Miss Olivia 07-21-2006 12:54 AM

Okay...here goes:

All the characters in this film are named after horror film directors.

The university where all the action takes place is named Corman University, after director Roger Corman.

The movie the house mother is watching before she dies is Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Guess the movie?

AUSTIN316426808 07-21-2006 10:32 PM

-The director originally wanted Tom Hanks for the lead but changed his mind because he thought Hanks was too nice.

-The lead actor and director have worked together 6 times. Not always as actor and director.
