you know.. poltergeist is absolutely wonderful in surround sound :)... i also can't believe it's only PG... i would think it should be PG-13... yea it's not that bad... but some of the stuff makes it a little more than PG in my opinion
|
Ever notice that the music in Poltergeist is very similar to that of Alien?
'Cause it was done by thesame guy :) |

It was on a Friday night horror movie showcase called Sammy Terry here in central Indiana. It was in the early 70's and the show was called "Strait Jacket" with Joan Crawford. Now I'm showing my age!

how bout a nightmare on elm st. i would kill to go back in time and see that on its release |
Eeeeek! Indiana!
I lived there as a kid... I was used to states with mountains and a coastline, so i didnt much care for it. |
In regards to the PG-13 rating ... here's a quote from the MPAA website:
"On July 1, 1984, we made another adjustment. We split the PG category into two groupings, PG and PG-13. PG-13 meant a higher level of intensity than was to be found in a film rated PG." So, apparently, Poltergeist came out before the PG-13 rating was conceived. May explain the strange PG rating on it. |
ahh ok.. i've been wondering about that ever since i bought the DVD back in like july of 03
