I was mocking his point that everyone agrees ;)

Amphibious Wretch this is a little off topic but what are that flying fish with teeth you have on your profile? And what movie is it from?

Who gives a shit about the packages? Failed experiment. If they didn't stop at Gore & Flayed, they would have stopped at someone else down the line. Why? Because you can't depend on a bunch of random strangers on an internet horror forum to do what they say they'll do and mail you a box of other people's random unwanted crap.

Wicker Fan, here's an idea. Why don't you start up a new package, keep Gore & Flayed off the list and see how long it goes. I'd wager it doesn't make it to more than 3-4 people before that one stops too, but hey, then you'll have someone new to complain about for a while.

If you want to send it to me first, that would be ok.

Nah, I wouldn't put myself on the list...I wouldn't want anyone to have to work the expense of sending it to Australia and likely WOULD be delayed at least a couple of weeks in sending it back out.

But seriously...I think bwind has a point, it started off with good intent, but it's hard to believe that those two would be the only ones to fuck it up.
Personally I'd like to think I wouldn't, I mean that is if one was going around MY country, but hey...
- Though I will say, it's hard to believe that a person/people could seriously (especially since one is evidently gainfully employed in a business synonymous with freight) have actual issues in working it out - it is a little insulting when one doesn't have more than laziness and greed to serve as their excuses.

As for the place becoming stagnant, yeah seems to be suffering from a pretty large activity gap right now, but hey then again if everyone that posted in here made a thread of their own...etc etc...
I admit personally, I'm part of the "problem" in a ways - though I still post where I post and even though only in a small percentage of the conversations I don't mind logging in, having a look at what others watch, play and recommend.
It's unfortunate that it's not booming but really...I'd just try and use the "spare" time more productively if it's boring in here, go for a few walks, pick up a short course...speaking first hand, when you're busier you're not only self improving (well, dependent upon your activity of choice) but you'll notice things like forum lulls a lot less.
Then, next time you've got some free time to yourself, come back and shit on about all the stuff you've been doing instead of being on here.
I know, it's hard. Forum dependence is a rampant issue.

It's quite interesting that since this thread there seems to be more activity on the board. It's like watching a flower slowly bloom...we must treat it carefully. Little bits of water at a time so as not to drown it.

There's no way I'd start up a new package because I think you're 100% correct. Three attempts have proven that there's always going to be somebody who messes it up. It's sad, but not too surprising.

Hopefully, this will never be attempted again.

Seven pages of inane bullshit and offtopic ramblings and half of you sit there scratching your heads at why the forum doesnt see much activity beyond regular posters....

You can change your page view settings to double the amount of posts per page if you'd like. 4 pages of inane bullshit and offtopic ramblings doesn't seem quite as bad as 7. Just sayin...

Huh? If you hope it won't ever be attempted again, then why not just let it go? Who cares who dropped the ball on a box full of junk over a year ago?

It's actually kind of comical watching Gore making all kinds of excuses for not sending The Package.
