i'd have to argue that point re. dumb and dumber ..

a lot of the humor was pretty clever ..

(the snow fight with the girl, the parrot missing the head)

it was basically a study in what little kids are like - only in the form of men ...
because that's what those 2 guys were ... just little kids.

i think it was dumb done cleverly ... besides - funny is funny ... there were a ton of images in dumb and dumber that will stay with me always (esp. the cane fight on the way into the benefit gala)

that said - south park was a blast -

but i guess i'll always pick a live performance over animation when it comes to a comedy ;)

Dumb and Dumber is king...

More Laughs per minute.. And it still holds up.. South Park is great.. but it is also pretty Topical.. so watch it in ten years..

1 - i personally didnt think Encino Man was that funny

2) - i dont think of toy story as a comedy - it's an excellent kids film that was excellent enough to apply to all ages.


i think it's a bit arrogant to assume anyone would know more about comedy than another though ..

comedy works when it makes you laugh ... it is a personal thing - we're all different when it comes to what we find amusing..

some of the cleverest comedies dont make me laugh out loud .. i understand and appreciate why they are clever - but oftimes something goofy and physical makes me laugh way louder and longer ... it definately doesnt mean i dont have any knowledge of comedy - mine's pretty damn extensive ...

it just means nothing when it comes to funny
