it was really appreciated taylorsmommy :) it wasn't directed at you ( what I said in previous post). I'd much prefer this thread to stay the way you intended :) |

I had so much more ranting to do on this subject of terror.
But by the request of the originator of the thread, I will only say this... Thanks be to the Gods that the people we know and love are safe. |
I'm wondering how many people in this forum actually believe in God, as other threads would indicate a lot of aetheism or even (mock?) satanism instead.
Or are we just fine weather Christians? The Prime Minister wasted little time in announcing Muslim terrorists as the perpetrators, as they are of course responsible for anything and everything these days. "Al-Qaeda" is being readily flung about again, though this is more realistically a movement rather than the super-secret bunch of evil terrorist geniuses spearheaded by the mysterious Bin Laden that newspaper editors would have us believe (and protect us from) - more of an ideology than a real organisation. Global Terror (TM) is upon us, but don't panic - George \/\/ will save us all. |
I believe in God

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of London.

EXTR3MIST:
Well it would only be the Irish or the Muslims who would do it...and it ain't the Irish anymore! So........ And if you are a Satanist then you HAVE to believe in God...they are the same religion! I am a Christian as i was baptised in the Church of England (if we have to have religions, it's a shame they are not all as wimpy as that one), but i'm not a practising one and all forms of organised religion are trouble. The worst offenders being hardline efforts like Islam, Catholicism and the Baptists. ALL are oppressive and prejudical and get away with saying things no one else would by hiding behind books of fantasy and the supernatural with no proof that anything is anymore true than Fairies or the moon being made out of cheese. Yet extremists beliefs are bred from these hardline religions and thus we have the crap we have to live with such as the London bomb...acts that hide behind 'the book of (whichever) God we belief in, ' so that we have to supposedly show understanding for the poor oppressed shitheads that do such acts. Flush the whole lot of it I say. |
Jumping to such conclusions is dangerous and breeds mass hysteria about certain groups/races/religions (inciting instant hatred, which may not subside even when the truth comes out).
The perpetrators could just have easily been Fathers For Justice, the ALF or Outrage!, but because we now know that extremist Muslims blow themselves up then "Al Qaeda" must be the first port of call. And lo- the carnage looks like it was down to this, so there we go... but the Prime Minister and co. were rather quick (i.e. within hours) to make this announcement from a presumtion. Believing in God is one thing, but one would assume a practising Satanist to swing the other way, as it were, and wish not love and prayers to victims but hatred and tyrannical laughter instead. Or is it all just about heavy metal and funny makeup? |
