No, it's definitely not Hell Night. I thought it might have been Happy Hell Night and bought that. It's similar in plot to Happy Hell House as fair as I recalled - a group of students decide to party in a disused, derelict house. All is going well until they start to get knocked off one by one. The murdered turns out to be a nerd that the group wronged previously and looked a bit like the guy with the glasses from Parker Lewis Can't Lose, I think....

i need help
There was a movie that came out about the same time as candy man that i thought was called sandman, but it appears i am mistaken. I keep trying to order on netflix but im getting the wrong movie popping up when i use the title.
Okay what i remember was they were gonna execute a prisoner and he made a curse or something and after the executed him he got the power to turn into sand and what not. Im drawing a blank on the rest til the end. The ending was he chased some one into like a cement silo or something and they lite it on fire and he turned to glass and shattered. Not very helpful i know but i saw this like 10-12 years ago. |

Hi, I've been desperately trying to find what looked like a horror movie that I only really saw the very end of. It took place in some town where it was winter and some underground monster had been like taking over the people or something like that. I remember there was an old British man who reminded me of Ian Mckellan who at one point called out to this ancient monster or whatever in the street and suddenly hundreds of vacantly staring people appeared in the middle of the street out of nowhere.
I also remember that the army was there and there was a scene where a dog walked into a church, whom one of the army grunts started to pet. It suddenly shot these tentacle-like things out of its back and attacked the soldiers, whose bullets didn't harm it at all. Whenever the tentacles stabbed into one of the soldiers (all of whom were wearing hazmat suits) the monster took them over. Apparently it was after a scientist in the church whom it then talked to through one of the controlled soldiers. The very end of the movie had the old British man talking about how the monster was underground and wasn't an alien, it had always lived on Earth. That's all I can really remember and I'm not 100% sure what I remember is all correct. Any help would be really appreciated, it's driving me crazy. |

That looks like the movie, thanks for the help. So next question, is it actually any good? I didn't get to see much, like I said, and while it looked interesting I don't want to rent it only to learn it's not very good.
