Also watched 'The Forest' last night, very weak horror movie imo. It had it's moments but overall I didn't like it, the ending was terrible.

Deadpool.
I liked it. Was a bit of fun. Nothing amazing.
I was a little disappointed that his healing factor was never put all that much to the test and that the depths of just how broken and mentally fractured an individual he is wasn't really present - there was a lot of darkness they could have touched on, but didn't.
They got his cartoon side down though...just felt like a lot of history was ignored to make a more accessible movie - that, they did well though.
Blind Al was...not really Blind Al and an integral part of their original relationship dynamic was completely void...but anyways.
Some good action scenes.
Reynolds does clearly love the character.
I've nothing really bad to say about it at all, and feel a bit spoiled as someone who's read the character since way back when he was a "villain" in the new mutants and x-titles, then his glorious mid 90's series...maybe that's just it...

I will say this though, really, if you like the movie - try to get a hold of a collected edition of the 90's series, and the follow up Cable & Deadpool.

I'd give the film, biased though I may be, a 7.

EX MACHINA (2015). A little slow, but be patient and not bad at all. Found elements of THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME, BLADE RUNNER and 2001:A SPACE ODDYSSEY. ***

House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects.

House of 1000 Corpses was... okay. The characters were annoying and unsympathetic as usual and I think it's Rob Zombie's talent to create obnoxious characters. And the end was a joke, right? I really hope so. Otherwise it's the most stupid ending I've ever seen. Wow, just... wow.

Because of that I thought that The Devil's Rejects would be as bad or even worse. But it was much better. The only thing I didn't like about it was the ending but just because my favourite character has been killed, so...

I have the feeling that Rob Zombie wanted to create something like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - just with more blood, with crazier characters, with more insults. And that's totally fine. While he failed with House of 1000 Corpses in my opinion he created a quite enjoyable movie with The Devil's Rejects. I liked to see Bill Moseley to take over a role that's totally weird and crazy again (although I didn't like the character of Otis) and Captain Spaulding has to be my favourite out of both movies together with Tiny (which isn't very hard since most of them irritated the hell out of me).

What also wasn't very good was the acting of Sheri Moon Zombie. She just didn't impress me.

Southbound (2015)
Crap. Just a bunch of average stories tied together in a cheap way.

The Good Dinosaur (2015)
Didn't hate it.

Don Verdean (2015)
Meh...
It's like a comedy without jokes. There should be a name for this genre.

Thumb resize.

"Cassidy Way" 5/10

The acting started out decent and then turned hysterical. The story went the same way. Far out to say the least.

That dad... ::big grin::
