Slaughter (2009)

From After Dark films.

Bad... just bad.

And not in a good way.

I hated the first 5 minutes, and almost turned it off.

It gets muddled toward the end when they try and impose a plot on all the craziness that happens in between, but that in between part is hilarious, smart, fast paced.

A solid horror comedy that hits its mark about 80% of the time.

Really glad you liked it - I think it's a movie that's easy to hate, so I think that people's reactions are really interesting to hear - It's definitely frenetic and weird, but ultimately entertaining. Definitely has rewatch value for me. :D

Super (2010)

Already mentioned this in the Netflix thread but I figured it was worth a re-mention since I enjoyed it even more the second time that I watched it. Really dark, off-beat, but heart-breakingly honest and charming. Absolutely adored this movie. A lot of people are comparing it to Defendor, which makes sense. I loved that movie as well, but Super just edges over it in my opinion. Definitely recommended.

4/5.

Also, Ghostbusters. Always funny.

Dont expect much from American Psycho 2. Let down.

Hansel & Gretel Get Baked (2013)

It's interesting where sick days and exhausting the use of your Netflix account can take you.

Finally saw the Evil Dead Remake. It was...ok. I didn't feel like I wasted my time, but I didn't feel like I saw something special either.

I forgot, I also watched Demons (1985) and Cronos (1993). for the first time too. I would rate Demons a 9/10 and Cronos 9/10.

The Purge
http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/...ps91acaf56.jpg

Someone else said this here, i don't remember who, but they said that the film would've been better if they had gone more into detail about The Purge. I felt the same way, it was on too small a scale. I would've liked to see more about the state of America to cause the Purge and better demonstrations of its carnage. Maybe show the night of the first purge or show the whole system collapse. In the end this movie just became a gimmicky home invasion movie filled with stupid annoying characters who make dumb decisions. Nothing about this movie is scary or even interesting. Really disappointed.

Just watched this a few days ago and loved every minute of it. I would watch this movie a thousand times over The Avengers or any other Marvel movie ever made.

I've heard a lot of good things about that. The only thing that's kept me from watching it is how much i don't like Rainn Wilson.
