it's at blockbuster and i've thought about renting it a few times.. is it worthwhile ?

the devonsville terror is definitely one of the worst horror movies i've seen....

maybe it's not so much that 28 days later sucked. it just didn't live up to the hype. everyone kept saying it's so scary. Decent movie-not really scary. Same thing with the ring.

i personally believe that 28 days later and the ring rely on quality home theatre systems... they need to be very dynamic.. and quite loud.. that's where a lot of the scares come from

I didnt like "The Haunting" remake really. actually aggrevated me sorta...

AGREED!!! I personally love that alot more movies are using UNIQUE scares with audio now....its a nice touch....the jump scare can only be used so many times:rolleyes: ....

i liked 28 days later too. I remember when i was walkin into the movie theatre to go see it, i was looking at the movie poster for it, and these 2 hefty ladies walked by, and told me not to watch it because it was so bad. But i enjoyed that and the ring very much. Also one of the most influential movies using sound scare tactics was TCM with the chainsaw against the metal. Still that noise scares the shit outa me!

TCM was a superb movie in the use of sound production scare tactics... also, a very very wonderful film score
