I've actually seen the first couple NOES, so I didn't waste a second to watch your latest. I chuckles a few times and now I need to watch the first one again, even though I didn't think much of it. Maybe it takes multiple views to appreciate the oddness of Freddy. I was actually thinking along the same lines of your theory after my first watch. It was the only thing that made sense after that ending.
