Haha Split Enz were fully NZ! I guess most bands round that era had to do some time in Aussie to get more exposure.

Have you seen the video The Skeptics did for their song AFFCO?

Anyone mention Dead Moon? Those guys have to be on the list.

All this talk about bands from down under made me realize I omitted The Living End from my list.

The Living End

Elvis_Christ 02-14-2009 09:33 PM

The Living End fucking blow. There's heaps of way better Aussie punk bands than those dull radio rock Clash wannabe dildos.... Pisschrist, ABC Weapons, Heads Kicked Off, Draft Dodger come to mind.

Have you ever seen them live? They kill it. Seen 'em 3 times and they've rocked the shit outta the place every one. Their newer albums are a lot more poppy than their first few.

Elvis_Christ 02-15-2009 12:01 AM

Yeh I've seen them a bunch of times. They were at the same festivial I saw Neil Young at last month, they just don't do it for me.

bwind22 02-15-2009 12:15 PM

Neil Young & Living End? That's a good lineup. Who else was there?

Elvis_Christ 02-15-2009 04:05 PM

Ummm a bunch of bands including:

The Datsuns
Serj from System Of A Down
Arctic Monkeys
Bullet For My Valentine
Dropkick Murphys
Fantomas (they were playing when Neil Young played so I missed 'em which sucks...)

and some others I'm forgetting
