I for one loved it and it got a really good rating on imdb. Glad to hear you liked it too Roguesblight.

Yep, loved it a lot! The kind of horror that is verrrrrry possible. I always like virus type movies, tv or otherwise. I also liked 28 days later. Poor quality, cause it's british probably, but great premise, and an even greater twist on virus movies.

You've scored points with me again by liking 28 Days Later. So many people on here hate it.

the stand was good but long. haven't seen 28 days later yet but my friend has it so i'll probably borrow it from him.

What was the dad's name? Frank? I liked him! Yeah that was proof that ok acting and poor film quality doesn't always make the flik!

Well they shot on digital to give the film a more realistic look (it's also cheaper). So the poor film quality was a choice on their part. I think it works for the movie perfectly.

Didn't know that, just figured that since a lot of british movies and tv shows are poorer quality that maybe they go the cheap route just because. Didn't think they'd want it to look like that. But hell, it didn't matter to me. It sure was a different kind of virus and that's one of the reasons I think I liked it so much. Kinda like a zombie on speed! One scratch and zoom zoom, munch munch! And they were smarter than zombies.

Let me first say that ive never been scared, litteraly frightened, by a movie after i started reading stephen king books. IT is by far the best and most scary book ive ever read. It is Nothing like the movie and almost every encounter the view has with it is a censored watered down version of what happens in the book. Some parts in the book arent in the movie because u could barely get away with an R rating with shit thats in that book, much less a TV miniseries. Alright off that soapbox..

I think he can do some good movies, Pet sematary, The stand, The shining, Cujo (arguably;) eh avenger?), christine, i really like the creepshows, etc.
I think he can do movies well if they are actual movies and not miniseries they have a chance. But in almost all cases his books own whats put on the screen and anyone who loves to be scared as this group undoubtably does owes the once king of horror at least one read.

Arioch you just lost some points by liking cujo. i mean it was terrible.
