Bottom line, guys...don't respond, and don't let it get to you. They stick around BECAUSE they see that it gets to you. When you're about to type that "fuck off asshole" message, STOP those fingertips. Sure, you might be angry, but they will never know it, and you won't be giving THEM what THEY want.

When you respond, you are doing EXACTLY, PRECISELY what they want you to be doing. You are feeding their sick little monkey minds. (Sorry about the monkey minds comment, Zero.)

best solution is also the easiest, ignore them. don't rely on other people to solve your problems. :)

I don't really have a problem with them, I think they are dumb fucks but I don't let it bother me.

edit: yeah, what he said. :D

how does the ignore feature work? does it block out every thread and post by the person chosen, or it it just PM's and such?

Ignore: Keeps you from seeing EVERY post they make
Block user: Keeps them from being able to send you PMs

2 different functions/options

Basically, many ISP's assign dynamic IP addresses to their customers. So each time someone logs in/resets their connection, they are allocated an IP address from a pool of IP addresses that the ISP administers. So they may get a different one each time they eg reset their ADSL router. So banning them by IP could mean that

a/ they just reset their connection and get a different IP address - 'permanent ban' avoided

b/ if an 'innocent' member of the forum is with the same ISP and picks up a 'banned' IP on dynamic allocation, they will have problems.
