Wow I'm really surprised to find some fellow peeps in dislike of this film. In my experience almost everybody holds it up as a modrern masterpiece.

slasherman 12-07-2004 07:39 AM

I cant see why..? Its not spooky, exciting or well written....The plot (or did it have a plot ?) didnt make any sence...

Fuck it, I just like the bit where she sticks needles in his eyes and cheese-wires his feet off.

Then they escape in the helicopter.

Vodstok really shouldn't still be consulting this thread.

Dont worry, i wasnt :)

I was surprised with the ending. The brutality lasted a little shorter than i expected, but so far, this is my favorite japanese horror flick.

Anyone else think it sounded like she was saying "Kitty, kitty kitty" while she was sticking in the needles?

And, i laughed my sick fucking ass off when she cut his foot off. She tossed it aside like "and...its...off! IOkay, enough of that. " *toss*

Apparently she was actually saying "kiri, kiri, kiri" which is the sound a drill makes in Japanese. Or so I've read.

You mean they don't just go, "DRRRRRRRRRRRR" in the land of the rising sun?

Those crazy ass Japs, man.

SamCostello 12-12-2004 09:40 AM

Well, yeah, they do. :-) It's just that when you render the sound in the language, it's "kiri."

Just like in English dogs say "ruff" (or whatever) and in French they say "Aaow." Same thing.

Sam
