Well...In the movie, the guy didn't end up turning, so I suppose that meant it DID work...But, I've never seen them try that in any other zombie movie...So, it hasn't really been done enough to establish an actual 'general rule'...

i dont think that would have worked in 'real life'..
blood circulates 5.2 liters per minute ...

his arm would have to have been cut off as soon as the teeth were entering the skin pretty much - or it would be too late...
he would be infected with the virus.

they never speculated on strength of the virus - how potent it was ... but i'd say that any of it at all would do the trick ..slowed down or not.

Yeah...It doesn't really seem like it SHOULD work...Given the multitude of information that we have gleaned from so many other zombie films...That's probably WHY they haven't tried it in any other movie...At least, none that I'M familiar with...

But...Then again...Look how often the vampire 'rules' seem to change from time to time...Like when they say things like, "Oh...That only works in the movies"...heh

At least offer them a quick death, doesn't matter if they'd get up or not...I'd just put them out of their misery.
I'd also burn the body.
It's not about ethics really...in a situation like that, you'd HAVE to adopt a certain logic, in order to survive, and keep those REMAINING around you alive. Just like in a war I suppose, to keep yourself a step ahead, it might cost you a lil' bit of your soul.

i agree with you cheebs!
