I really couldn't tell you.

Played it for 20 minutes, about 10 days ago. Haven't touched it since.

Not that is seemed bad in any way, I just don't feel like playing at the moment. Probably because i'm 33 and not 23. Now i find more joy in knitting... just kidding, of course.

cheebacheeba 04-25-2010 10:32 PM

Still Zelda - hourglass
I don't really like it THAT much but wanna finish it up.

Dead Space. It's badass so far. :D

Angra 05-12-2010 03:28 PM

"Secret of Monkey Island" PS3

They don't make games like this anymore. And maybe that's a good thing.

Dante'sInferno 05-14-2010 08:50 PM

Bioshock.....

iSeymore 05-19-2010 09:41 AM

Although I really don't play videogames, I'm thinking about purchasing "Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition" because growing up I always had a small fear of those video games and "Zombies" but now that I'm nineteen, and started taking interest in Capcom's Resident Evil game, that's mainly because I spent some time playing both Left 4 Dead videogames.

Okay.

This is what i can tell after 40 minutes of gamplay.

The intro is quite slow and a little bit boring. The scenery, on the other hand, is amazing. The graphics is about the same standards as GTA 4. Neither better or worse. So that's pretty damn good.

So far there's really nothing to dislike. And what i love the most is that Rockstar has finally dared to try something new with their, amazing, open world concept and gone with an older century. Coz even tho GTA 4 was close to being perfect in my book, the concept was getting a little tedious.

Story wise there's really nothing new. Sure in the intro they're horsebacking while chit chatting, but they might as well could've been driving a cab having the same conversation.

But so far, the scenery is what's winning me over. But the story hasn't begun yet...

To be continued.

Dante'sInferno 05-21-2010 02:31 PM

Red Dead Redepmtion. It's so FUN. Left 4 Dead 2 and Fallout 3.

PlagueBearer 05-21-2010 02:55 PM

The aim-and-shoot function works really, really well.

Yea, i totally fucked that up and died.

I'm not very impressed by the voice actors tho. Much of the dialogue sounds like they read up from the script and the characters conversations and lines are close to being bad.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories for ps2, pure fun

cheebacheeba 06-13-2010 11:25 PM

Cold Fear - PC.
I believe I'm at the final boss now.
True, it's a few years old now (2005-2006 maybe?) but this game just really hit the mark for me, it's one of the best survival/horror games I've played in aaaages.
It's kind of like...dead space meets run like hell meets resident evil 4?
Just been a pleasure all the way to play.
A *little* limited when it comes to enemies, though the ones you encounter are pretty cool looking and of variable challenge.
Nothing all THAT groundbreaking but an interesting setting, an ok storyline and an overall very tense creep out atmosphere, pretty good looking game to boot.
I'd recommend it to those that don't mind stepping back from the brand new.

Thanks.

I'll look for it.

Still frequenting the MMORPG Requiem, which is declining fast now.

Just restarted Phantom Hourglass (Zelda)

Psycom5k 06-19-2010 12:51 PM

Assassin's Creed 2 for the xbox, beat the story in around 20 hours, been trying to find and unlock all of the truth because for me, thats the most interesting part of the game, though its not a bad game at all. Its an awesome one, its just the truth just nags at me, to get it finished, cause there is lots of really interesting conspiracy stuff going on.

cheebacheeba 06-19-2010 05:44 PM

I finished Cold Fear, and went up to EB games...man, XBOX 1 games are so cheap right now...I haven't used mine for ages and I've never had much of a collection since getting it, so I picked up some more.

Midnight Club 3 - Dub Edition
This one was my chicks choice. Well...seems ok...I like the open world driving/racing games. I have not played it myself but it looks entertaining enough I suppose, nice and shiny considering its age.

Soul Calibur 2 - I needed a solid 2 player fighter so when I saw it for $7 there was no decision making process at all. SC, since the first title Soulblade on PS1, has been my favourite VS fighter. So much value there.

Still Life - Another of her choices.
Pretty good looking game though. Doesn't seem to have a lot of action? But you get to investigate crime scenes and some grisly shit going on. Good dialogue too.

Obscure
Waited a while to get this, and not too sure what I make of it now.
I like the movie-esqe feeling of it? Not too sure on the gameplay itself.
I mean I'll be keeping it anyways, it seems solid enough.

Picking up some more today.

- B.

"Final Fantasy XIII" PS3

First FF game for PS3 and it very well could be the worst Final Fantasy game i've ever played. VERY disappointing so far.

"Singularity" PS3

Very fast paced horror shooter with a nice atmosphere. Very "Fear"ish. Personally i like this one better than the Fear's due to the pacing and the fact that you, in a horror game, actually are up against monsters instead of just other soldiers.

"Obscure" PS2

Yea, i can only agree with Cheebs about this one. This is a horror game where the story goes on even tho your heroes dies one after another, if you play the game bad enough. Like me.

The story seems pretty exciting.

What i don't like about it is the gameplay, especially when fighting, and that you can't change the viewing angles while walking around or fighting. Makes it more than difficult to hit your targets when you don't know exactly where they are.

jbp is scary 07-06-2010 03:04 PM

Ive been playing Smackdown vs Raw(the original),Dynasty Warriors 6,mortal kombat trilogy on n64,mortal kombat deception online, dot Hack infection part 1,Castlevania curse of darkness(beat it but getting extras)and that is all that I play often!

ChrisSTC 07-11-2010 04:47 AM

I'm getting ready to beat Red Dead Redemption.

Angra 07-12-2010 01:30 AM

"Cold Fear" PS2

It's good.

cheebacheeba 07-12-2010 04:05 AM

Yes, it is good...falls short in some areas but overall I think it was a great satisfying horror gaming experience.

I just got an (almost free) f'd up xbox360 which I had repaired and modded for $130AUD which is fuck all really...it's working fine now and since I won't be marathon gaming with it, it should be fine for at least a while.
Been checking out Saints Row (1) which is more or less GTA:SA gone arcade...not bad but seems to lack a little bit of depth right now.
I have the FEAR stuff, soul calibur 4, mirrors edge, gears of war and a few others to go through before my order of 20 or so...er...games on disks without pictures comes in...

DeadSnow 07-12-2010 04:10 PM

Grand Theft Auto 3 on PS2

Freak 07-13-2010 11:55 PM

Crackdown 2

Pretty much the same as the first. No real difference but it's alot more repetative.

DeadKlown 08-11-2010 10:56 AM

Dragon Quest 8

PlagueBearer 08-11-2010 11:03 AM

ArmA 2 - Operation arrowhead, AlienSwarm. Tried to play further on my red dead redemption, but it gets so repetative that i fall asleep.
Soon R.U.S.E. will be up and going - looking forward!

Angra 08-13-2010 01:58 PM

I can say for sure that the next game i'm gonna be playing is "Mafia 2".

The Mothman 08-13-2010 02:05 PM

Yes, i got the same feeback from someone who played the demo.

Sounds... promising.

cheebacheeba 08-13-2010 06:10 PM

In the main room, on 360 I have Alone in the Dark and will soon be starting a co-op game of Gears of War which I've never played before...I know, I'm pretty behind in the whole 360 range.
I've also played a fair bit of Soul Calibur 4.

In our room where we have the xbox, I've been looking at this game from Rare called "Grabbed by the Ghoulies", which I thought just may be something like Zombies ate my Neighbours, but, unfortunately it's not.
It's not a bad time killer...but it's not great, and terrible long, overly frequent, unskippable comic style cutscenes.
It's a bit funny, not overly irritating, but yeah I'll just chuck this on before bed.

endo 08-13-2010 06:13 PM

Madden 11. Didn't think it was much different than 10. Wrong, I'm hooked.

endo 08-14-2010 11:40 PM

Also playing Red Dead Redemption that had me up until 4 AM yesterday and....now too
Great game, it just hooks you. I probably shouldn't have bought this one, lol.

DeadKlown 08-22-2010 07:32 PM

Silent Hill 3 (PC)

Posher778 08-22-2010 11:07 PM

Erika_Knight 08-29-2010 06:34 PM

I've been playing Animal Crossing: Wild World, my favorite game on the DS, for the last year. After investing hours and hours into it, I'm still not done.. I love that though.

bloody_ribcut 09-01-2010 11:22 AM

I finally got my own copy of modern warfare 2, been playin that and having a good time till modders are in the room and all goes to hell.
