Of course, you know me, I love my black and white. But for this particular film the technicolour adds a bizzarre, chaotic atmospheric feel to the film (like you said). It fits perfectly. |
Creature With the Atom Brain (1955)
Sluggishly paced B-sci-fi/horror picture with quite a few holes. I didn't particularly enjoy it at all, though it had its moments. |
Popped in Creature from the Black Lagoon last night. I'm doing number two tonight.

Mad Love (1935)
A prolific surgeon (Prof Gogol) is infatuated with a local stage actress. However he discovers she is married to a concert pianist. Her husband is involved in a train wreck, destroying his hands. She takes her husband to Professor Gogol, who tries the unconventional to save her husband's hands. Gogol becomes increasingly psychotic as his attempts to win her love are twarted. This is an amazing film. Peter Lorre as Gogol is excellent - an outstanding performance. Highly recommended viewing. |
It's about time for the Christmas viewing of Night of the Living Dead!
