Honeymoon (2014)

I walked into this movie completely blind. I haven't seen a trailer, read a synopsis, or really heard of this movie today until someone recommended it to me. It ended up being a really creepy and weird movie. Honeymoon is about two newlyweds on their honeymoon, Paul and Bea, but it takes a turn for the worst when Paul finds Bea dazed and confused in the middle of the woods one night. The film's structure reminds me of Paranormal Activity or The House of the Devil; not much really happens until the final act, but when it does happen, it's crazy scary. The tension builds up very nicely for the first hour and leads to an excellent payoff. What's nice about Honeymoon is that it allows us some time to get to know the two characters before we get into the meat of the story, which always helps a horror film. It might be a little slow for some people more attuned to a constant barrage of scary faces and gore, but if you like your movies heavy on atmosphere and tension, Honeymoon is the perfect movie.

Shame it isn't a video game really. I'd love to see more of those freaky monsters. Especially Drillface. That one was my favorite. I screencapped like a madman so I can make fan art at some point. ::love::

Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014)
Bad. It was less boring than part 4 but overal it was worse.

I want to be scared and the last time a movie scared me was when I was 12 yrs old and I watched The Exorcist by myself at like 3am in the total dark. I keep hoping that something will eventually show up and give me at least a little scare. These days, I think most horror movies just entertain me. Maybe I'm so accustomed to seeing extreme horror these days that very little gets to me. ::confused::

Clown (2014)

Like a non-redneck Rob Zombie flick. Trashy, predictable, and lazy.

Pernicious (2014)
"3 young women in Thailand unleash a vengeful spirit and stuff start to happen."
Wasn't my kind of movie. Not really bad or anything, just not my thing.

Search Party (2014)
Slightly better than average comedy but mainly because of the cast.
Not really big names but a lot of familiar faces made this roadtrip movie good enough.

Bound to Vengeance aka Reversal (2015)
"A young girl, chained in the basement of a sexual predator, escapes and turns the tables on her captor."
I thought this was going to be similar to Hard Candy but it's something different. Only the ending felt a bit cheap.
But I'd say it's worth a watch.

Ah, this could of been so good but just lacked the sick parts, they were implied but not shown but some goryness was dusted through out the movie. Criticism from others is that she made stupid decisions but I can see how they came about and forgivable.
