Avi/Divx to Playable dvd
Whats free?
What's easy to use? Just something for direct burning onto playable dvd. Suggestions: |
what i would usually do is upload the avi in my movie maker program and save it as a mov. file, that then burns onto a disc.
takes a real long time though, so thats why i stopped doing it. just search for an avi converter on the web and you sould be able to find one for free to use a week or two. |
VSO's ConvertXtoDVD is the best program for that kinda shit
|

Still, if you are interested Cheebs...check it out here :- http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ |
There's cracks floating around everywhere to unlock it to the full version just google it
|
|
I'll check it out...but...this convertxtodvd thing is pretty damn good once you get it happenin'.
Easy to use as all fuck, makes the most perfect dvds I've seen, to date. |
Good.
If you got that working like a cinch, then you dont need the above. But I would recommend keeping both...just in case. |
Thanks all for the assist.
|
|
Nero v7 and above.
the easiest interface i've seen it also allows you to create a menu - import a background, etc. you pick - dvd movie - import your video file/s - and it converts and burns to a DVD for you. as far as free goes ... everything is free if you know where to look ;) |
Need Computer Help!
A couple of things:
(1) My task bar (where the "Start" button is), will not work for anything. The buttons won't light up, and I can't click any of them. (2) My wireless router screwed up. For some reason, when it's plugged in, none of the computers can use the internet, not to mention it deleted my gateway. I'm running on XP and the router is a "Linksys". Please help. I spent all day yesterday trying to get this straight and finally got my internet to run without the router. |
Have you tried restarting your computer? :-P
I had the same problem with my Linksys router a few weeks ago. The boyfriend was able to fix it so if no one else can answer your question before he gets home from work tonight I'll ask him and let you know what he did. |
sounds like a virus.
to hard to give help without the computer in front of me - you may have corrupt drivers as well. viruses can cause that - so can bad secorts on the hard drive - impossible to tell remotely just back up your data and reinstall everything - windows - software - everything. thats what i'll be doing this weekend |

The task bar is my main concern right now. Quote:
The internet is working fine, as long as the router isn't plugged in. The task bar just doesn't work. |
well, like i said - you could have corrupted drivers/files caused by a bad spot on the harddrive. (drivers for the router - and system files for windows)
it can be a pain in the ass but i reccomending redoing a pc at least once a year to keep things fresh and running smoothly. a defrag can only do so much |
Might be the wifi card
Might be you need to unplug and restart all wireless connections Might be you need to system restore I had a problem with my iPod not linking to linksys but it turned out my wireless card was fried. Good luck Vamp, I know how frustrating this is |
You might want to search the forum over at: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/

On to the router. |
Linksys has a very good support help line. Free. I've used it and the techs are very saavy. I suggest going to their website and looking up the support number.
|
Alright, well, I got a completely different computer to wipe clean, and start over. I am able to use the internet, as I was earlier, as long as my modem is not plugged into the router.
It's basically doing the same thing. The only difference, is now the other wireless computer says it's connected, even though it isn't. I've re-installed, or rather, installed the Linksys on this computer, as if it had never been done before. I've done everything the mannuals said, and it's almost like the router is just busted. I have re-installed and re-plugged everything. Nothing is working. I would go buy another router, but I'm afraid it may do the same thing. |

Why don't you want to call? It's free and they know what they're talking about.
|
Buy a new computer. Always works for me. :)
|
Alright. I finally got all of this sorted out. Apparently, when I programmed in the card for the laptop connection, it messed everything else up and wiped the original gateway away.
I went today, and got a new model router, sense the old one was outdated, and they offered no support for it anymore. I plugged it in, and everything is just the way it was before all of this mess. |
PC Help again, It's totaly F*@$ed!
I don't seem to be able to up date avg, I can't even access the web site. I can't use any of my programs such as spyware search and destroy, they just won't open. I can't even try to reset the pc to a previous date, it just won't work.
If I google something it doesn't take me directly to the website when I click on it, it takes me random places. One place it goes is a place called antivirus 2009, and it tries to install itself automaticly. I'm out of ideas on how to fix this one.. Any one have a suggestion? |
|
How do I decript that?

Thing is, I have tried downloading a few programs, but get prevented from opening them, presumeably by the spyware..
I will try these, but it will probably be the same. Cheers. |

I figured that, how did you fix it then? |
