Closer to home I find a lot of hate for people from Manchester in Liverpool obviously this is football related but it's growing. Having also lived in Manchester I never had any problem being from Liverpool while I was there but having been there a lot recently it;s back with a vengeance. Even weirder I find more hassle in Liverpool if you don't have a strong "scouse" accent. I get grief all the time even though I grew up here and most of people I know who grew up here don't have strong accents either. It's ridiculous but people seriously think I'm lying when I tell them I grew up in Toxteth despite my parents living there and I know a lot of people there from growing up around them. People seem to be think I'm lying to try and seem "cool" but I find this inverted snobbery ridiculous nonesense. In fact most people put on fake accents a la Cilla Black just so they don't get the grief I get. Ironically whenever I go to Manchester or anywhere outside of Merseyside people think I have a strong scouse accent just talking the same way I do here. In fact I think this inverted snobbery is worse than normal snobbery because these people pride themselves on being down to earth-wrong they are as stuck up their own asses as the rich and privileged-but they are too stupid to realise that.

I'm doing better, I still have to use crutches or a walker but the pain is gone for the most part. Thank you for asking, Wicker.:)

Yeah I love Superkings black-the long ones but when I'm on a budget I'll smoke rolling tobacco-Amber Leaf or Gold Leaf. I used to smoke Marlboros when I was at university several years ago but gradually went off them.

Never heard of Superkings. Marlboro's all i smoke. I did smoke Newports for awhile when i was dating a girl who smoked them. But after awhile i couldnt take them anymore.

It takes work. This time was especially hard for me because of all the bullshit I have in my life right now. But I also have a few family members that have either passed from or have been diagnosed with cancer.

That really sucks. Sorry, that must be hard. Something like that would probably kick my ass into quitting. Its so stupid that it takes something like that though. My problem is that i know im never going to quit until i actually want to and right now i dont.

My mum and sisters have tried to quit several times and it's been hell for them-my problem is I enjoy smoking too much I'm really feeling it on my throat-getting out of breath very easily but I still smoke nonetheless-I'm a lost cause.

I've never smoked, but I get so irritated by the constant lectures about how smoking is bad for you and those around you (second only to weight lectures). It almost makes me want to take up smoking out of spite.

It does get annoying especially when you go to the doctor and they give you a big lecture about not smoking and then when you're leaving you see that same doctor or nurse out in the parking lot on a smoke break.

i gave up for two years started gave up for a year,quit drinkin and have started again to help with social events.
i know i can give up again iv just got to want to ,its not that hard just a week or two feeling like shit,peice of piss compared to quiting drinking anyway
