A great day for arrivals!

A wonderful pre-cert UK VHS of "Headless Eyes"!
Excellent condition and a great relic. And a film that is not out on DVD either as far as i know.
I missed picking it up years ago, always regretted it, now it's MINE!
Lovely trash!

"Queer as Folk" definitive collection (the UK one obviously). Crude, rude, funny, thoughtful. Top extreme TV.

"Tenement" - Looking forward to checking this Roberta Trash fest out. Striking, but awfully drawn cover. Not sure if a love or hate it!

The Ghost and The Darkness

I'm sure nobody else likes it,but I thought it was very well acted by Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer,I've never seen anything not well acted by one of these guys.

that's why I liked it so much.

one minute you're full of suspense waiting to see what's going to happen and the next you're laughing at these two completely freakin out.

and I still want to know what the hell that creepy ass doll was all about.

GorePhobia 02-13-2005 02:31 AM

i think he used to doll because he was housing himself in an old vantrillaquist (spelling?) warehouse and it was creepy so he used it....

happy birthaday!!!

I picked up Saw today-felt good to not have to look all day to find what I was looking for.

42ndStreetFreak 02-15-2005 03:13 AM

Ah! yes, thank you very much. :)

I enjoyed "Saw".

what you said about something worth seeing on the big screen referring to Million Dollar Baby, obviously the theater experience is always better but I wouldn't say it has to be seen on the big screen but whenever it's released on dvd, trust me you should pick it up. I know that the Aviator is probably going to win best picture but with all due respect to Mr. Scorsese I honestly think Clint has him beat on this one(this isn't my usual bias opinion about Clint Eastwood)

AUSTIN316426808 02-16-2005 05:24 AM

I took a box of cds and took that long ass hour and fourty-five minute drive to Baton Rouge to get Manhunter and despite the fact that the guy who answered the phone yesterday told me it was there it wasn't, but I hadn't took that boring ass trip to come up empty handed so I got....

DMB in concert dvd
a Clint Eastwood box set that I've never seen before with-Dirty Harry,Unforgiven and Play Misty For Me.
Halloween-unmasked(documentary on the movie)

then I took the 45 minute drive back(90mph:D )

isn't it a bitch how I can find something I've never seen or heard of virtually the moment I walked into the place(Eastwood box set) but something I've been looking for for about ten years just keeps eluding me.

you don't like Denzel Washington.

Scott Glenn's was in '87, I saw it in the specialty store a week ago would have gotten it but I was coming out of the store when I saw it and didn't have enough money.

oh yeah, i like Denzel - and his version.

i just would like to see the other to check it out again..

Vodstok 02-17-2005 05:40 AM

The original had Scott Glenn? Oooo... i didnt know that. he's good :)

May have to check it out.

My most recent purchase was a large bottle of Jack Daniels that barely lasted a week. We have been watching mostly shows we got from Netflix, Sex and the City for the wife, and Farscape for me.

Last night i Saw John get turned into stone, his head cut off, put back on, back to human, made out with some leggy aussie chick, then claudia black. plus there was a lot of killing. i love that show.

Fuck everyone who says it is stupid.

Meh.

AUSTIN316426808 02-17-2005 12:33 PM

American History X
Any Which Way You Can
L.A. Confidential (other one broke)

Elvis_Christ 02-17-2005 09:09 PM

I hate L.A Confidential!!! Russel Crowe sucks in almost everything he's done after Romper Stomper (which is infinatley better than American History X) but that's just me a lot of people love those movies.

Fascination
The Living Dead Girl
Creepshow
Heavy Metal
Spiderman
Hulk
X-Men 2
Squirm
The House on Soriety Row
Sleepaway Camp

and some other shit I can't remember right now.
