I'm Homosexual--but first of all I'm a fairly decent human being.

I doubt if too many of the group would be offended to be in my presence.

I consider myself fairly spiritual--But Christianity and religion can be very dark worlds--but they don't have to be.

I love a bumper sticker you see a lot in Texas--Hate Is Not A Family Value.

First of all, for those of you who don't like people posting "non horror related threads" in the general forum, what's the big deal? This thread IS titled "Christianity and Homosexuality", so if you don't like the fucking topic, stay out of the thread or make your own. Don't come here and try to change the topic because you don't like it, ya fuckin' quiefs.

Next: I don't see how one can say "I'm a Christian but think homosexuality is okay." That seems a little weird to me. I mean, what if you die and go to heaven (hypothetically) and God says to you: "So, you claimed to be one of my children, yet you did not agree with everything I commanded. You just picked and chose certain things to believe based on how well they sat with you, and still you claimed to be a follower of my word. You, my friend, have some explaining to do." If the Bible blatantly says that homosexuality is wrong, don't you HAVE to believe it is wrong in order to still truthfully call yourself a Christian? I really don't think this issue is up for interpretation.

Personally: I think the Christian church is going to have a hard time in the not-so-distant future explaining their stance on this when science proves that homosexuality is genetically determined . It would be like someone having to go to hell for having brown eyes. Of course, they will probably simply deny the evidence and stay mired in their backwards superstitions.

Didn't have to work at developing homosexuality--I was born this way--Thanks, Jack.

i think stingy has made some good points. (for a atheist) i've made those points about homosexuals picking and chosing when it comes to the bible in yahoo once, and the howls of protest could be heard around the cyber world. so except for that rubbish about homosexuality is a genitic thing. i'm in a 100% agreement with stingy
