I agree. I was picked on myself when I was a kid, and there have been times when I really wanted to exact some revenge. But, we as a society can't allow that. Imagine the chaos we would be in if we said: "Okay ... it is now perfectly all right for those who are picked on in school to shoot or stab their tormentors." Kids would be killing each other left and right! Thankfully, when I matured, I rose above the torment and realized that those people who treated me the way they did did so out of ignorance, pride, insecurity, and a thrist for power. As a teacher, I know that you can't take the ridicule dished out by a teenager seriously or personally. I still hear that shit ... every day. But they are just immature children (despite what they may think of themselves.) Rarely do you see mature adults treating each other that way ... and when you do, those people are quickly ostracised by the community. I truly wish that children wouldn't treat each other like they do, and there is no excuse for it. But it certainly is NOT OK to say that "they got what they deserved" if they meet a violent death by someone they picked on. Give me a break!! If I went to work, and was picked on by a fellow employee over and over again, day after day, and decided to settle it by shooting his ass ... then it would be completely justified for me to be put away for a LONG time.

Well......you and I are in essentially the same type of profession Stingy, maybe that is why we see it the same way.
You really hurt my feelings Freddy though doesn't seem like you really care about that now. :( |
Actually, I don't think being a teacher has that much of an effect on how I view the situation. It's just plain common sense. You can't allow anyone to kill anybody else just because they say hurtful things or play nasty pranks. Sure, those kinds of actions are wrong, and it would be great if we could feasibly come up with some way to prosecute for emotional damage. But I don't think "name calling" and "malicious pranking" warrant the death penalty. What sort of country would this be, then? Personally, I applaud amk for alerting the police in that situation. That boy would have fucked up his life for good, and ended the life of another ... all for revenge.

You obviously are a misled kid who has a very warped sense of reality...all this fucking macho bullshit talk you keep spouting out of your shit trap is nothing but a load of garbage.... and to be pissed at AMK just because she did the right thing in turning Freddy Fan in is fucking moronic...talking about death being a lesson...shit death is exactly what it is DEATH there ain't no lesson in that kid...One of these days you will grow up and learn that...I have seen it first hand, I witnessed an ass load of violence when I was in high school...Three of my friends are in jail for life because they murdered four other teenagers in a drug deal gone bad when they were 17....There was no lesson there for the other kids that got killed, they just ended up six feet under in a coffin...And the guys that are in prison now wished they would have never done what they did... Keep that kind of shit talk and attitude up and you are headed down a road straight to prison... |
Riddle me this....Where did this thread go wrong?

I think it meant to take a left at Alberquerque.

I agree with freddy that one should never take down ones gaurd...not even for a second. Its not worth the chance of getting hurt. You get hurt often enough, you stop taking chances...
But the idea that AMK was in the wrong with FreddyFan is fucking stupid.... |
Well, I'm not so sure I agree with Arioch here on the "never let down your guard" thing. I went through a really bad relationship and refused to open up to anyone new I met as a result. I shut out a lot of loving people from my life ... and that hurts pretty bad.

But there is a difference in keeping your gaurd up and hurting people for the simple pleasure of watching people suffer like Freddy is talking about....Personally I think it's a cry for help when people talk the way Freddy is talking... |
