they didn't include THIS IS ENGLAND, which is sort of a subset of the punk film - the skinhead Ska film

The also left out Romper Stomper, however I don't consider fascists punks anyways.

Boston Beatdown has some pretty fucked up shit on it. Its what killed modern hardcore for me awhile back.

Because its basically just a forum and I guess people missed that one seeing as its not exactly easy to find these days.

whats it about? is it just a bunch of crappy post hardcore tough guy assholes beating on people or something? please dont think thats what boston's all about. there are tons of great hardcore punk bands that keep it oldschool, aren't stupid tough guy dickheads like these ones.

just saw Repo Man last night for the first time. Not what i expected at all, completely bizarre, lots of fun.

Yeh pretty much dudes beating on each other and FSU saying what there all about. Some of it was interesting with some pretty cool bands but the violence was a bit sickening. But yeh all that shit made me fuckin' hate hardcore initially but these days I don't mind the music I just don't dig the whole violence thing.

But that said there's nothing like putting on some tuff hardcore when your in a bad mood. I like the first two Blood For Blood albums.

What are some of the decent Boston bands you're into?

Werent The Real Kids a Boston band?

Before HC, Boston had some good 77 / garage rock bands...

Saw Doomsday again recently. I'd say there's definitely a punk feeling to part of it.
