And, honestly, I absolutely adored 28 Weeks Later. Liked it better than the first one, in fact. It's post-apocalyptic and creates another chapter in the zombie mythos. I was really impressed. And I know it's been said, but Planet Terror was brilliant. |

I like it ok. not one of my favorites though. and the original poster said he didn't like Zombie Holocaust. well, I love it. how can you beat a movie that is a mix of three different sub-genres! it's a mad scientist, a cannibal, and a zombie movie all rolled into one! you'd be foolish not to love it! |
Not to piss anybody off but the people in 28 days/weeks were infected, not living dead. Therefore they are not zombie movies.

The original Dawn of the Dead is awesome, I also really like Zombie 2 by Lucio Fulci... those are My 2 favorite Zombie films.:)

wow we are on a horror forum and listed as best is "dawn of the dead". I can agree with that in a way the thing that floored me was when "Crazyme" thought he was talking about the remake. lmao. Plz Crazyme, tell me you were joking. If not, watch more horror movies you noob. :p

[QUOTE=ChronoGrl;645616]Yes. Definitely yes.

Some that I think deserve a mention are ...
The Plague of Zombies Shatter Dead Living Dead Girl Bio Zombie Deathdream The Stink of Flesh and parts 1 and 2 of the Blind Dead series... Tombs of the Blind Dead and Return of the Evil Dead. |

Not to mention, if you take a look at the second one, 28 Weeks, the Infected begin to take more of a zombie-esque type of shape (i.e. lost limbs and the ability to persevere while the body seems to be realistically dead), so it's clear that the director meant for at least that film to mutate even closer into the zombie mythos. Take a peek if you haven't seen it already. ... Now, not to piss anybody off (i.e. those who do NOT consider 28 Days/Weeks Later to be zombie movies), there was a recent film that I saw that uses the same theme of spreading Disease/Infection (bodily fluids - no cure) medium to create monsters from people that I DEFINITELY recommend: Mulberry Street http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...l/mulberry.jpg If you're willing to explore beyond conventional zombies and consider Infection to fall under the same category - Check this one out. It's in select theaters now. Low budget, but uses every penny INCREDIBLY well. |
