Round 1: Match 6

Nada vs. Frank
Movie: They Live

A fight scene good enough to redeem an otherwise mediocre movie. Rowdy Roddy Piper and Keith David fight it out for real, save face and groin shots. That kind of thing would NEVER fly these days, which is understandable, but all the same it made for a great fight scene. It's made all the more awesome by the fact that it's the direct inspiration (ie: they copied it almost move for move) of the Cripple Fight from South Park.

VS

Thornton vs. Danaher
Movie: The Quiet Man
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wh5nH6UTgj8
John Wayne's usual movie silliness transfered to a surprisingly entertaining extended fist fight. The running joke of the betting is amusing, as is Wayne getting constantly doused with water. Everybody yelling "Thornton and Danaher are fighting!" prompting other bystanders to run up to watch is reminiscant of Cartman running around yelling "cripple fight!" in the abovementioned scene from South Park. The fight its self is at least way above the fights in the various Elvis movies, and probably John Wayne's best fight scene.
