Im not gay by the way, not theres anything wrong with that.

Ive never enterained the gay notion concerning this film.

Neither have I.....That just means whomever brought it up is probably gay....Not that there is anything wrong with that.....

It just wrecked the head completely. Visually it works and the atmosphere and potential for shocks is done well. But the core concept of the movie and how its revealED towards the end, just wrecked it. (opinion only)

Utterly, utterly agree!

Sci-fi movies should not end up with zombie-type thingies going on! See? I still cant quite put my finger on it with E H!!!!!!

I think it is time for me to rewatch it.

Oh and as far as underrated goes I would like to add Ravenous, In the Mouth of Madness (yes, I like it dammit), Lord of Illusions, Nightbreed.....and one of my absolute favorite movies that very few people seem to talk about very much.....Videodrome.

RAVENOUS *IS* definitely one of the most underrated movies of all time!!!

And In the Mouth of Madness is scary in that the psychological twist makes the viewer feel as *insane* as the main character - do you agree? Definitely another underrated one!

i had no idea in the mouth of madness and videodrome weren't held close to HDC's heart. these are two of the best horrors period. some of the FX are badly dated but if you look past that, in the way you would with the thing, then they are truly great ps. farewell to the flesh

Actually they might be well loved here, but elsewhere, even some other horror forums I have posted at (and now no longer post at :p ), there seem to be people who haven't bothered to see them or they don't truly appreciate them.

Ravenous is a great film. Good cast, some great dark humor, and its pretty creepy actually. Among the few films to combine horror and comedy, and get it exactly right (in my opinion).

In the Mouth of Madness is a very psychologically intriguing film. Glad to see some other appreciate it around here. :D

Hunt down all those movies, and I gurantee you will find plenty of under-rated gems. Quite simply put, one of the best and brilliant set of obscure movies you will ever get to choose from.

It's not really a horror movie but Natural Born Killers is my all time fav and I think it is a very underrated movie. It was rated worst movie of the year in 95 when it came.
